    Oooo you're right, i didn't notice the difference! OP needs to specify which one it is. Not sure why there's a difference, its the same transmission in the same spot.

    The only issue I ever have with this shifter is it makes reverse a BITCH. You really have to press over and up to get in reverse. Im always having to show valets how to do it lol.

    Other than that, shifts are way faster and smoother in my opinion. Gets a little notchy at times...it took some practice down shifting, kept going from 6 to 2 instead of 4, when i wanted to hit it hard. Which, is bad. Lol.

    Noise/Vibration/Hardness, yes it does increase those a bit. A couple guus have modified the stock boot to fit in with the Core shifter boot, to negate alot of noise....vibration is vibration. Adding this shifted is increasing your mechanical advantage to the transmission linkage. You are changing the geometry of the shifter so that less movment of the shifter equals the same movment at the linkage that the oem shifter had. That means that any vibrations are increased back at you, but it also makes shifting a little harder. Either way, its a kick ass shifter, and I love it. Go on ebay and search for "Hurst Core Shifter Tacoma" make sure you buy the correcr model for your type of truck 2WD/4WD, 5 speed/6speed. I have the T handle as well because fun times.

    Yes. The stock boot fits. It comes with a rubber gasket that goes over the shaft that the boot seals too.
