They came on it from the dealership with the TSS package. I'll look tomorrow and see if I can tell what kind they are and I'll post a close up of them.

Those aren't sliders from the dealer though. They are just steps, bolted on. Sliders are welded on. If you were to hang up on those they would just snap off.

I'm not sure if the bumper trim stuff is supposed to be "base level" black or not, but I don't care. It fits perfectly with the mag gray color. I have the 'custom' exhaust tip and a few other things I don't really care about added on, but this was the only 4x4 manual 4-banger I could find on short notice. Overall I'm quite happy with it, I think I got lucky :)

It does look fine with it, but I think Toyota was just lazy to not paint that. How much money does it really save them in the quantities they are producing. 10 bucks a truck?

You can't paint plastic like you can metal. You have to mix the dye in before the injection-mold process, and it's actually a lot more costly than you'd think.

Painting plastic never ends well. Mold it in that color or bust.

    No 'bad' involved :p

On the one hand, I have cheap plastic bumpers that are easily and cheaply replaceable in the event of parking lot accidents.
On the other hand, I have cheap plastic bumpers :p

But they mesh with the paint color and look awesome, so I'm quite happy.
