Was stopped at a light, got hit by a Malibu (I think, small Chevy sedan, looked like a Malibu, but I didn't see from behind).

Minor damages (scratches mostly) to my pickup.

Based on my insurance, I should have no out of pocket costs to have this fixed, and (even though I'm not at fault, driver claimed 100% responsibility) have accident forgiveness - this should cost me nothing to have the insurance fix it.

Is it worth the hassle for these minor scratches? The pickup has about 1500 miles on it, is less than 3 weeks old :(

The bumper skins come in three pieces so that would be relatively cheap to replace. The towing bits.....well that's up to you. I would want the truck made whole.

Daamn, is this the first 3rd gen accident? Sorry man. Been rear ended. Makes you lose faith in humanity... what was the driver doing? On cell phone or applying make up?

This is why Toyota made the three piece bumper. So you don't have to spend too much. Hopefully you get it taken care of by them.

Damn 3rd generation? 3 weeks old with 1500 miles? .. . Looks like really minor damage. I'd still take it to the dealer tho.

Well glad YOU are safe from the rear end ... whiplash is horrible ... been there got the T-shirt. Damage doesn't look to bad. The new 3 piece bumper was specifically designed for this particular situation, get her fixed up and back to new again. On the bright side ... she has now been christened....you don't have to worry about that first scratch .... I am cringing that day for mine

I hope the toyota 3 piece bumpers are easier to replace sections than a GM. Last one I did was over $1000 for parts and labor for one corner.

This is why I always keep my towing receiver and ball installed on my truck. If you had yours installed all the damage might have been on the other car.

Clearly he/she was awestruck by the stamped tailgate and lost all sense of what she was doing.

You have a nice hitch there. You may want to consider a SpareBumper to help prevent such damage.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
At least you weren't hurt. If the damage will buff out, I wouldn't worry about it. If not, I'd have the other driver's insurance pay for it.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Or make the damage worse. It's all a matter of force and strike angles.

OP, I'd let the offending party fix it. I suspect they can get the parts, prep and paint in the shop, and just have you come in for an install day.

Give you a 1 day loaner, and when you go home that evening you'll never know anything happened.

Probably just minor, but if it's going to be covered it's probably a good idea to have it checked out to make sure there isn't something more serious behind the scenes.
