    What also works well is rubber from a (transport type) truck inner tube - got one for free from local tire specialist and laid old piece onto the new. Car inner tube rubber probably too thin.

    Great looking mod. Just curious if any one has noticed any increase in engine bay temperatures with the new splash shieds installed verses the factory OEM ones?
