I have a feeling these are just the current TSB springs. What are the measurements (center of hub to bottom of fender)? Not that it will determine it either way, just curious.

Not the same part # as mine from the frame replacement. I've got RH side 48210-04650 and LH side 48220-04290 on the parts list, I can snap a pic when I get home from work.

The only difference in the trucks is you have the TRD package and mine is an SR5. I dunno if that would matter or not.

    "SALE PRICE: $525".... wow....

I'll be happy if I get these for free but I can't imagine why anybody would actually pay that much for those?

And that is just for one leaf, not a set.

That part number is old stock, according to this 2014 TSB.

I measure mine the other day and I'm at 37 1/2 from the ground to fender in the rear. 36 in the front. I recently had the frame and leafs replaced as well. Sitting on 5100s at stock setting.

Yeah you're right, the Toyota parts department just verified that the 48210-04660 leaf springs they just installed on my truck are old stock. Bastards.

I went to my dealer in June and they said they call me when they are ready for warranties or my choice of paying 2000$ and they will reimburse when the warranty is out for my 2010. Anyone had the same offers??? cause I don't like this one, I'm in Canada BTW

I think it was a screw up, not intentional. Just got off the phone with the dealership. I'll be getting another set of springs in 2016 on Toyota's dime.

I just got my frame replaced and they put these new springs on.... these ARE NOT the same springs that I had on my truck.

Back in 2007, only 6 months after I bought the truck....I had the 3+1 TSB springs installed. My truck originally came with 2+1. The TSB springs they installed in 2007 gave my truck 1" rake/lift and I've been extremely impressed with all the crap (bedloads of mulch, moving, bedloads of dirt/yardwork) with barely any sagging when loaded. I've had those springs ever since.....for 8 years.

The springs I have now - I'm a bit disappointed. They're still 3+1 but not the same spring rate. My 1" rake is gone and the bed sags just by putting a 500lb snowblower in the bed.

So.....just because they're the 3+1 and listed as TSB, doesn't mean they have the same spring rate or you'll get the same results.

Here are the part #'s I got put on with the frame replacement on 8-18-15. I cant find why yours would be a different # though.

If I don't like the new springs in 2016 that Toyota comes up with, I'll go out and buy some Alcans or Deavers. Kind of a pain to deal with something as seemingly simple as a leaf spring. My last truck was a Dodge Dakota and that thing was a total nightmare, constantly breaking down. I love my Tacoma and if it means I have to buy some aftermarket springs to get something that performs well than so be it.

Talked to Toyota last night and they said all 2nd gens should be up for a swap. However, they haven't "officially" announced it yet. The rep did say get into Toyota and have them inspected because if they are cracked or stressed they will expedite the process and have some shipped directly from the factory because of safety. Right now they haven't issued letters for replacement because of minimal supply vs the massive amount of units that need to be replaced.
Nice they are covering that $1050 sale cost though, hopefully the leafs are quality and can handle a little heavier rated load. Should have gotten the specs from them... It will be interesting to see

So do you think the recall could expand to affect 2012, 13, 14, and 15?

So far, the info I've found indicates leaf packs manufactured for these years were the "fixed" parts.

Are such significant issues with the Tacoma (e.g. bad leaf packs, rusted frames) not hurting that Tacoma quality reputation? I know GM has their problems, but are issues like these with the Tacoma any better? That's a real question.

I've only referenced two significant issues that I know off hand, but are there others that could be considered to be just as "unacceptable" for a tough built / reliable truck?
