It has no problem getting up and going when u put the pedal down, the bigger tires don't make any difference at all!!!!!

I been babbying it and I'm seeing around 18-19 city in it, and haven't put my K&N on it yet from my 13 but I was seeing 25 highway with it on my 13! Haven't had the 16 on the highway that much.

Tacoma has always looks the best proportionally as the AC. Always.

But all 3 of mine have been DCSB. If I was to buy a gen3. It too will be a DCSB.
The interior space and lack of sucide doors out weigh the proportion and bed size for my needs.

I should be picking up this exact truck next Friday. Looks good. So you are getting the mud guards at a later date?

Yes - the film and mats were installed yesterday. Still waiting on the mud guards. Took it to play in the sand box this morning and test the gadgets.

Thanks. Strange as it may sound, I love my 2004 even more right now. Posted it Wednesday night on AutoTrader and sold it yesterday. Bought it in 2005 with 7k miles on it for $17.1 and sold it with 93k miles for $12.9. Our phone blew up after posting it for sale.

Got my OR AC LB a few days ago. Already drove about 200 miles, mostly highway, but some on secondary roads with considerable grades and even some dirt roads, necessary since I live on one. Lovely truck, but it is requiring some adjustments in my driving habits, since I'm used to driving an old Honda Accord. I agree with the consensus about low rpm torque on this engine, and find that my 4 cylinder Accord actually has a more responsive pedal. This transmission likes to go to 6th gear quickly, and seems to hate to downshift. At 65 mph it lugs along at 1700 rpm and when it hits an incline tends to slow down and lug all the more, staying in 6th. That is, unless you really press the pedal, which is something I'm not in the habit of doing. This presents a sort of 'all or nothing' effect when driving which I'm just not used to. The power is there, but you have to reach deep for it. In making the more severe grades, I find it best to limit the trans to 3 or 4 gears or it just tries to shift high and lug. I have the impression, without knowing for sure, that it's in Atkinson cycle unless the pedal is pushed deep.

To be honest, I find this in my 2012. I almost always shift down to 4th when I go to pass or reach a steep incline. I find the trans is either slow to downshift or cycles between 4th and 5th if I don't. I really like toyota's gear selector setup(thought it was stupid at first), it's easy to change with no clunky buttons and the trans is quick to react. I always end up in the wrong gear in the ford's I'm stuck driving at work.

Love the truck and the house and the location by the way!

Man, you got 10 years of use out of it for a little over 4k. The re-sale value of our tacos are really second to none

I think I'm going to have to keep this next one longer... I probably shouldn't be getting rid of this current one.

    Picked it up Thursday.
De-badged the TACOMA emblem on the side doors, the dealer sticker and V6 emblem on the tailgate today. I'm loving this truck so far. I have zero complaints.

Looks so clean it's dirty  the tacoma-stamped tailgate really adds to the de-badged factor in a good way imo - still reppin' the name without a piece of plastic chrome

I would like to trade my chrome bumper for someone's black base bumper.
Do all the painted bumpers like "white" have sonar? I'm wondering if it's pre-wired?
Once the new wears off I'm painting that grill black...
Window tint for the front to match rears is getting done Tuesday.
