    No mods...yet

Oh...and side shark fins, sun-roof, locking tail gate, deeper bed. There are actually a lot that has been added to the 2016 that the 2015 doesn't have. I'm not backing the 2016 as I own a '15 DCSBFTMFW TRD SPORT. The way I see it, I have the best of the 2nd gen. All the bugs worked out, no issues and built to last.

Finally got to see some gen-3's in person today. Good lookin' truck....inside and out. I did not drive one so I can't speculate on the new drivetrain or how quiet or loud the cabin is. But if I were in the market for a midsized pickup, I would rock one in a heartbeat.

My only concern would be is the new v6 reliable and as powerful as the gen2 v6 ?

So I just bought one.... Love the truck so far, but also curious about its long term reliability with the new engine/tranny combo. Prior to buying the 16', I was following lots of threads on here about 2nd gen with 200-400k on them. Once can only hope this new combo is even close to that... Time will tell I guess... Currently 375 miles, lol.

There's no doubt the 1GR 4.0 puts out a bit more bottom-end torque at a lower RPM than the 2GR 3.5.....but the difference is made up in the gearing in the new drivetrain. As for how reliable the "new" engine will be? If I knew that I would be sitting on the couch picking Lottery numbers. But I will say this......the 3.5 is not a new engine at all. It's been around since 2004. Lexus as a 306 hp version that's used Direct Injection for years. There is some new tech in the Taco's version....but I think the basic design is sound.

Considering some people won't get theirs until 2016 I would say sales are doing fine

Step out for a few days and I see this section is still inundated with repetiveness.

How to annoy the 3rd gen section.

Start several new threads about the BTTF Tacoma and include BADA$$, AWESOME or FUKKIN SICK in the title.

Oh, I get the difference of opinion but 5 separate threads on crawl control is a bit excessive. It's the equivalent of "what size tires can I fit..."

Yeah, I'm beginning to wonder if the average 2016 Tacoma/Colorado/Canyon buyer is also going to drain the transmission on their first oil change. They don't seem to be a bright bunch of people.
