    100% true if financed through Toyota. I financed my wife's 4Runner through Toyota, and it was simple interest. We paid it off in half the time, and paid that much less interest. The good thing is they lay out the terms of the financing in front of you, and you decide whether or not to sign. No surprises. Ask all the questions you want before signing.

    Not relocating the battery and reinforcing the radiator support all over immediately after purchasing it.

    Now I am going to have to tube the rad support and tie it into the upper brace that I had built for the shock towers and frame.

    Yes I like to offroad. Yes I toss the truck around like a quad while I have it out there. I didn't always run it this hard though espcially not in the beginning, but it has been happening from the start.

    According to the TFN website, It looks like it's the only type of loan they offer :confused: . I don't know why anyone would sign up for a loan that requires payment of all interest that can accrue over 60 months (or however long the loan is) no matter how quick you pay it off. I just logged in to my account and got a payoff quote good until 10/29/15, and it is $90.31 higher than my outstanding balance.

    I accept, and I don't even have to call Toyota financial to explain what they meant. Unless I am missing something what they mean is that interest has accrued since your last payment and part of your payment has to pay that interest, it is just how a loan works. I manage my loan online and I have been way overpaying on it because I wanted it gone as soon as possible. I am actually now debating whether to pay it off or milk it out to build my credit but that is a story for another day. Anyway I have paid far more than the minimum payments and my bill says I don't owe a payment until December of 2016. They show it to you like that to try to get you to just take a break and come back to it after interest builds again. However, my "Payoff Amount" has been going down how it should according to my financial calculator, showing that the principal is indeed being paid down.

    I looked at my contract and it specifically states that there is no early payoff penalty and that you can save interest charges by paying it off early. Laws on loans probably vary by state but I feel like that is a pretty standard rule in loans.

    As far as regrets I had two immediately... I didn't even check for cruise control when I bought it and about shit a brick when I couldn't find it. The second was the first time it rained and I clicked on the wipers. Two settings... Fast and faster, unless you want to sit there and bump them. Luckily these are both fixable, I already installed intermittent wipers and the cruise stalk, just waiting on the clutch switch which should be in tomorrow. Cruise doesn't work without the clutch switch, but the "CRUISE" light sure is pretty!

    Along those lines if you are prewired for a backup cam I recommend that mod highly. I could live without it but it turns out they are super handy.

    Mine does NOT have a backup cam... when you say 'pre-wired', do you mean that the port is already there in the Entune unit?

    I think you should be pre wired, I think only the regular cabs in 14 weren't. My base access cab was. It didn't come with a backup camera, but I ordered one on Amazon that plugs into the wiring harness at the bumper and have a backup cam in the touch screen radio now.

    To tell if you are prewired, first find the wires that run out of your tailgate and follow them to the wire harness behind the bumper. If that wire harness has 4 wires on both sides of the connection you are prewired for it. If it has 1 wire coming out of the cab side of the connection you are not prewired. The camera was $225 and took about 45 minutes to install with hand tools and being careful to save wire retainers. As soon as you plug the camera in once you put the truck in reverse the picture automatically comes on the screen, nothing else required. I haven't seen a thread on this install, I have been thinking about doing a detailed writeup but I didn't take pictures when I did it.

    4) did you run through the voice calibration routine in the options? mine couldn't recognize anything I said until I did this.
