Firestone destination 265/65r17 and TRD sport wheels. What did you sell them for?

I just put mine on CL for $1,100. Thats 150 a tire and 125 per wheel.

I've had the Hankooks before, they are good in the beginning then start to suck after 40K so meh. They don't really fit the look if this truck in my opinion. I was thinking of keeping the stock wheels and tires for when we go on a long trip mostly highway travel so we can get better gas mileage and not wear out the big rubber highway driving. That's my plan and I'm going to run that by the wife as soon as we get the new wheels/tires in! Yup yup thats what WE are going to do.

40k probably won't come up until 2020 for me, so that's good to know :) I don't mind the look at all.

I sold mine for $750 and to make room in the drive shed/barn. (The Dunlops were long gone, as I had my Cooper 265/75/17 AT 3's swapped out from my old truck at trade in.) Then I used that money to buy more shite for the Taco.

I had already put on Mickey Thompson 285/70/17 ATZ P3's on MT Classic II's. Loud MF'ers!

Going back to something quieter when these are done.

I sold my stock Dunlop with 2,000 miles on them for $310.00. Just the tires, kept the Sports wheels because I like them.

Discount Tire gave me $280 for the stock Firestone Destination HTs after a bit of haggling. I could have probably got a bit more on Craigslist, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

You shouldn't get rid of your stock setup because in the event of a drive train problem etc. the stealership could claim your new setup i.e. bigger wheels/tires contributed to or was the cause of the problem. If you want change your setup fine, just have the ability to put the stock setup back in the event a problem happens. We all know stealerships will find any reason plausible to get out of doing warranty work. Once its out of warranty, then it's a different story. Also when I went to trade in my suv, the stealership asked if I had the stock wheels, he said, it's easier to sell with stock wheels.

I'm thinking about keeping mine for when we go on vacation and do a 1500 mile round trip highway driving. Put the stock wheels back on for better MPG and smoother ride.
