Of the SR5 TRD Sport Upgrade vs a TRD sport?

Or explain which is which (6A 6M etc)
when you compare models on the canadian site it just says 6m 6a doesn't say if its the SR5 or TRD Sport.

I'm currently looking at buying the SR5 with the TRD sport upgrade package but not sure what the full difference is. I know the TRD sport upgrade package throws in a bunch of stuff like push start, dual AC power moon roof etc. but the rest I am not sure of.

when you choose compare models this is all you get

The TRD Sport upgrade package is a package added on to the TRD Sport. It gives you a sunroof. Blind spot monitoring and cross traffic alert and I believe the Qi wireless charger.

i understand all that, but what is the difference from the V6 TRD sport vs the V6 SR5 w/ TRD sport package

if you look at the build on the website you have an option for a TRD sport with either standard package or a trd upgrade

OR a SR5 w/ TRD sport upgrade package.
The SR5 with TRD package is more than just the TRD sport with the upgrade package so I am curious whats the difference

    I think that's a typo.

    Sr5

    TRD sport

    TRD sport with upgrade

    Those are 3 separate models.

Only difference I've found is one is the SR5 version is auto the TRD sport version is manual.

But still don't know which it is in the compare model part where it only says 6m 6a

In the 2nd gen, the sr5 is a step below the trd. The trd has everything the sr5 has, then adds the trd package. (Sport- Skewp, color match bumpers and mirrors, bed outlet, better seats, tranny cooler, turn signals in mirrors) The trd is an upgrade over the regular sr5.

It's not. The trd is more than the sr5. The sr5 DOUBLE cab is more than the trd ACCESS cab. The double cab is a bigger truck, which is why that one is more. A trd access is more than an sr5 access

read closer at the two I expanded.

Standard trd double cab is 36 490
    sr5 double is 36 670

and if you go on the canadian site when you select to only show the automatic model the TRD sport is no longer on this list.

    I think that's a screw up. There's SR5 then there's TRD. 2 different sub-models in the Tacoma line.

x2. The trd is an upgrade over the sr5. I don't have a 2016, so I can't say what the 3rd Gen trd has specific. Like I said about 2nd Gen the sport has, bed receptacle, better seats, turn signal mirrors, color matched mirrors, color matched bumper, hood skewp, color matched fenders, electronic LSD.

Looking at your original question here's the answer. There isnt a trd that isnt an sr5. A trd is an sr5 with extra options. Tacomas with the trd package even use to come with the sr5 badge, but they stopped that around 2011 and just put the sr5 badge on non trd models.
