Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I have replaced them with a set of ST Maxx since then, but I haven't tried them out in any snow yet. I don't have any dedicated snow tires for the truck, we usually don't get much snow here and if I'm going skiing I take the Honda for the mileage.

Snow in the bed is usually enough, it might not hurt to throw a few bags of sand in the bed though.

Apparently I missed a lot of activity on this thread last night :argue:. Since I'm late to the party, I guess I'll just throw this out there. I've used my 4x4 to rescue our tractor plenty of times. I guess the tables may turn in winter conditions, haha.

I love the snow in the bed route... I've even shoveled some in, because it doesn't hurt in my opinion. Until you park in the garage that stays slightly above freezing even in very cold weather...

    Stock!
Another Canadian winter driver here - good tires and a canopy. Last winter stock tires and no weight in back, just used 4wd and I was fine. We had a record snowfall that closed our schools- first time in roughly 40 years or so. Truck was fine with stock tires, which I will add are complete crap!
PS installing Cooper AT/w's on Monday!
    Cheers

You win the biggest pile of snow on a deck contest. Congrats.

BS aside, you don't need weight in your truck if you're using 4x4, unless it makes you feel better.

I used to throw 2 bales of straw in the back in the winter. It adds quite a bit of weight once they are wet.

Just because a government shoves an idea down the populations throats doesn't mean its true. Society is screwed lol

With newer tires... I haven't needed xtra weight. I will lower my tire pressure a few times in the winter and I always use 4wd when there's snow on the ground.

When tires are reaching the end of their lifespan... I may put weight in the bed. It just depends on the tire and its performance at the time. I have TRD Sport w/mechanical LSD which helps.

    No that doesn't exist.

We humans have core samples, they tell the story of weather for hundreds of years.....

Those core samples tell us that the earth goes through cycles, and the climate and atmosphere changes over decades.

I haven't read any convincing evidence of climate change from carbin monoxide.

"Our method takes into account more data and shows that the age difference in Antarctic temperature and CO2 levels is less than we previously thought,” Parrenin says. “I think this could help to change the tone of discussions about climate change.”
