When I have to pay $60 for a 3 minute post surgery check up for my shoulder I feel like I was getting robbed. This was my 4th check up 5 months after surgery, after I was done rehabbing. Just my opinion

Driving a car = Possible fatal crash + possible crash resulting up as a quadriplegic. There's the same risk for driving a car as there is getting the shot.

If you get the H1N1 shot, your body will create antibodies that will fight off the flu if you get it, and the symptoms will not be half as bad if you didn't get the shot. So in effect, you can get the shot and have the full fledged flu one time, or you can skip the shot and get the full effect twice.

I got the shot last week and the only thing I got from it was a sore arm for a couple days. No flu symptoms whatsoever.

    Cheers.

First of all, the first three months after surgery is no charge to you. That is the global period. You get those included in the price of the surgeons fee. Which, given your young age, you probably dislocated your shoulder and you need arthroscopic labral repair. Surgeons fee for that is about 900 dollars, which included the following three months post-op as well. And your insurance covered this for you I'm sure. You didn't have to pay out of pocket for your surgery. And i bet your shoulder is doing great, b/c if you hadn't gotten the surgery you would keep dislocating and that would be no good. All I am saying is $60 is not a big deal to pay to keep you healthy. I bet you pay $60 for a 15 minute oil change and you dont even blink an eye.
Would you rather your surgeon operate on you and then kick you to the curb? Probably not. He was just checking to make sure your ROM and strength was good and you weren't having any problems. Just a perspective from a surgeons point of view.

Just had my 5 year old vacinnated. I feel much better now but it was a very hard choice to get the shot or not. I think he'll be better off with the shot then this nasty flu.

I can tell you that I was unable to get the shot before I got the flu. My 6 yo had it then my 2 yo, then I got it, then my wife. It has been the worst week of my life. Mainly watching my kids suffer with this flu strain. If you have a chance to get the shot I would suggest it, as someone said before it really minimizes the effect of the H1N1. Your odds of getting this flu is probably pretty high, if you can afford to miss work for two or three days, then skip it, but if you do get it, chances are you will miss some work. Do it for your kids though...

That is awesome. I can't get the shot even if I wanted it. I am a health care provider so they wan me to have the active nasal one. I can't get it because I am living with some one who has a lower immune system and going to be going threw a transplant.

There is like 10 questions on the health care Sheet you have to fill out and it makes me wonder how many people anwser the questions wrong in fear, because of the mediA.
Those who stand in line for those "free" shots that are already sick and getting others sick
    awhile standing in line!!

You had H1N1? You cant get it twice. You can get the regular flu though.

My family including our 4 year old and 7 month old had it for 9 days. It's not fun.

I would advise that, unless you aren't already a healthy person, leave the H1N1 shot for the people that need it. Like children with compromised immune systems or older people that may be a little frail.

My point. How many people are getting the shot that shouldn't be making it worse for everone else. I see lines with people in them and wondering how many people are already sick and getting others sick. It is a bad cycle that the Gov and stupid F'ing media put us in!!
