Haha you would think that. I'm painting housings flat black and shrouds Toyota MGM with etched lenses, color changing halos behind shroud, color changing demon eyes, and switchback halos on the front

Hey guys I have a 2015. I was thinking of going with the fxr. But after reading into it a bit it seems that the mini h1 is the easiest install with not much trimming required. with my luck I would crack the reflector trying to cut in the fxr. So is the h1 a simple put it in the hole with washer and lock nut? Minor trimming and gluing. And what shroud works best with the h1 at covering the back of the projector?

I believe you still have to trim the h4 retainer part on back of housing, I do to get the nut tightened down correctly. I recommend the d2s

Has anyone used the panamera LED DRL yet? Would those with D2s, 80mm halo work well? If you have used them are they easy to install?

Or do I even need a halos with the LED built in already? I was thinking of running the Panamera LED DRL, with color changing demon eyes, and color changing halos on the front.

Interesting, I rather have Amber as my back lighting. With rgb halo on the front. Trs doesn't have a amber halo in 120mm of there new model which bums me out. Don't want to put halos in that will burn out after a few months like my last two sets

That sucks. Their new switchbacks are very good so far. I'm sure their v2 is even better. I have yet to see/hear bad things about the updated ones.

Just put in an order. I went with the normal panamera shrouds and waiting until the new LED halos come out to put in a 120mm ring amber. I decided to go with the led demon eye and leave out the color changing halos. Thank you Andrew! Did I miss anything and will this all work for a 2013 DBC ?

I have the 120mm XB (amber/white) switchback halos in my Panameras. Currently I have them disconnected because I think the white is a little too blue for my taste. I like a pure 4300K to 5500K white in the projectors.

Here they are with the 120mm halos and the projectors turned on. You can see the difference in color.

Here they are with just the halos...very blue I think.

Here is just the projector at around 5000K:

Also I was hoping that the halos would be a replacement for my turn signals once I get my bumpers but I think the current TRS technology is a still too dim. They are not bright enough in the daytime to be seen clearly. Also the white really doesn't compare with the next generation white I am seeing in the newer cars these days (bmw, cherokee, mercedes, volvo, acura, etc). The latest TRS halos might be brighter I don't know. If you get amber-only halos they might be brighter since they won't be sharing real estate with the embedded white leds. Also the 80mm ones might be brighter since they sit at the front of the shroud rather than backlit.

Here is a poor video I shot before I disconnected the halos. Sry about quality. The focus is bad in places.

The reason I like the Panameras is because so much light from the projectors leaks into the headlight housing and through the windows in the shrouds. You really don't need the white halos. If I ever break into the housing again I will probably put the 80mm on the front to see if they are bright enough to be a full time turn signal.

Lastly I kinda wish that TRS listed the color temperature of their products. Many buyers these days are looking for a specific color to match other lights in their system. Edit: It looks like TRS has updated their page to show the color temperature so that is good. The halos are listed as 6000K which is a bit blue for me.

Thank you. I do agree that the white halo's are drowned out. I think I will try the new ones when they come out that can be ran straight amber. I though of using the color changing ones but since I really cant run those without a ticket I though it would be pointless.

is that the XA amber halos? i see them on the website but they are only in 60 and 90mm. the panamera will only accept 80, 110, and 120mm i think.
