Does anyone know if in Kansas if I can get a refund on a deposit? I found a better deal and the dealer I was going to buy it from originally says they can't refund it. The new dealer says all in Kansas are legally refundable till you pick up the vehicle.

Deposits are always refundable unless you signed something that says otherwise.

Each state has laws about contracting non-refundable deposits. Look it up in your state.

    The deal I made:
    • 7562 - 4x4 TRD Off-road
    • Black Exterior w/Graphite/Gun Metal interior
    • Premium & Technology Package
    • V6 Tow Package
List: $36,015 (Dealer Fee and South East Toyota crap) plus Tax ($1080.45) & Tag Transfer ($68) = $37,163.45

Out the Door negotiated price $34,973.

Good deal or not compared to others ?

Out the door means after everything... msrp for a 7562 is 32,9xx but he got over $2k in options plus $935 destination then $1k in tax. Do the math and its at right about $37k just like he said. He only paid $35k so he got about $2k off. Not bad.

Out the door is everything included - $34,973.
Next best offer from another dealership was $36,955.09.

I can't do the math on tax when SET charges around 1300 dollars for Bullshit. That may be a pretax amount

Doggman you are correct, I will give them $34,973 and they will coordinate paying NC taxes and the transfer of my tag. Nothing else to pay.

Just curious how it compares. I ordered this one just like I did my 2000 TRD Prerunner to get just what I wanted and nothing more (Except mudflaps which they had no code for) and will be dealer or myself installed.

Best I've been hearing is people paying close to "invoice" which is about 7.5% off. This shouldn't be included into cost of tax, tag, dest etc. So, $35,080*0.925 = $32,449. Add back in tax, tag, dest, etc and you get $32,449+1080+68+935= $34,532. That's only $500 short of what you're paying which means you paid "$500 over invoice". Thats pretty good and is what most of the people who are trying to swing the best deal have been posting up. Not many have done better.

I put quotes around "invoice" because its debatable if thats really the invoice price for the dealerships but those are the numbers that are going around so whatever.

As a dealer, We don't have fake invoices or alternate invoices lol. It's illegal to make fake Invoices. We can lose our dealer license for that. Lol I can understand why people think there are different invoices because there are shady dealers out there, so to make
You all feel somewhat comfortable for paying close to invoice I figured I'd mention that.

If anyone is a recent college grad or military there are incentives through Toyo for that too. My dealer was offering a grand for military and 750 for recent college grad (within last 2 yrs)... Didn't qualify for the military, but did for the schooling. Mine was listed online for 34,250 so minus the 750 it was at 33,500. The Tax/tag transfer and 699 dealer fee I was OTD for under 36.
It is the blue TRD OR 4x4 quad cab but came with factory trifold Tonneau and full interior toyo mats front and back.

New member here. Here is an invoice with a bunch of extra charges on it. Also, is holdback really supposed to be added to the invoice? The salesman said they get that back but is it part of what they pay up front?

You can look at it both ways, either its added or dealer has it as a reserve, either way its there. As a dealer I come across hold back questions often and I try to make sense of it to customers but some undeerstand and some dont. I guess it just depends on who you are.

So they are adding the hold back instead of subtracting it?

You aren't supposed to know about holdback. So you pay what they paid for holdback and then Toyota pays them back, again. They make money on the holdback dealio
