I've never quite understood the value of profanity laced replies to threads -
“Profanity being the effort of a feeble brain to express itself forcibly.”
How many times can you ask: What size tire, which lift, which filter, which oil, why do I have a vibration, which seat cover, floor mat and vent visor? Why don't the TW staff just do away with the "Search Function"? Questions already answered earlier in a thread.... thread replies that have nothing to do with the thread............
Fortunately, the substantive benefits and knowledgeable replies of some truly informative threads, (the "wheat") out weigh most of the chaff.

PM @tcBob with your dislikes? :notsure:

Profanity is like a spice, yea a steak is delicious but a steak with some spice on it is even better.

Everyone was new at one point and they probably don't know how the site works... I thought everyone new that already. Most guys are out in their garage working on their truck and they say "hmm wonder if I could put bigger tars on my stock tacoma?" They then proceed to google it, find this site and see they can ask a question to a bunch of guys who love and know a shit ton (spices right there) about the same truck they have.

Guys also like hanging out here to just BS about random stuff, I think it would be weird if nobody tossed in some stupid BS response or side tracked the thread a bit...

The search function on forums is terrible. I don't wanna have to read through 1000 posts in each thread in the search results to find the 1 post that is actually useful. I don't have 4 hours a day to read the forum to find my answer. Most people don't. Most of the threads consist of people b.s.-ing back and forth about topics that don't help answer the original question. Suspension threads are the worst. It would be nice if posts could be "starred" or featured as top rated responses to help cut through all the crap when searching. Similar to yahoo answers; the OP would tag the top replies to help others find the answers in the future.

I like TW just the way it is. I don't think TW should change a thing. It is more than just a forum, it is a social club that allows anyone to join. All the different types of members with their deep and simple questions makes TW what it is. There is another Tacoma forum that is a little calmer at Toyota Nation.

If only new topics were discussed, and no repeats because they had been a post the forum would be very dull and slow. Sometimes it can be dificult to find exactly what you are looking for, especially if new.

BTW there have already been multiple threads on this topic, so you are not even taking your own medicine.

I don't get it, does this guy read every single thread that is started? WTF? I only look at ones that might look interesting or to make comments to piss people off, like this one.
