I don't know if I have a good reason why I bought my 2015 other than this is my 4th Tacoma. I think I had too!

I wonder if an electric blanket in the bed (providing it has the AC outlet) with a cap would keep dogs warm enough during northern winters. Of course, the dogs should also be well-furred.

I guess I just wanted one but I didn't really need one. :D If it's what you like just go for it! I know I'm enjoying mine.

When I sold my first Taco and get a Highlander, I thought I'd be fine with my utility trailer for most tasks, until I had to go fill a jerrycan at the gas station for the lawnmower and put it in the trunk

This has happened to me already. I cursed and put the square peg (lawnmower) in a round SUV trunk hole.

I gave up my truck (04 F150) for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. And I hated not having a truck. Try wrapping a dead deer up in a tarp and putting it in the back of a grand cherokee. Or gas cans, or lawn mowers, or a 120lb dog, or furniture, or wood, or well, you get the point. Luckily (although not according to my wife) a year after I got the jeep, it started knocking. So I got a 4 door taco, which I have actually wanted for a few years now. The wife has an SUV and I will NEVER again go without a truck.

If you did all that stuff with your pickup, why would you think an SUV was the right move?

I actually sold the truck for money reasons. I was able to sell it, use the money to cut our credit card debt in half and picked up the jeep pretty cheap as a daily driver and beater. Unfornately the jeep ended up being more problem than it was worth. I was actually relieved when it started knocking so I could get rid of it lol

This is about exactly what i was gonna say. How do people even get by without a truck? I haul grills, propane tanks, bikes, flip over fish house and auger, gas caddy for the boat, brush and logs, and more. These all are ordinary things that anyone (especially a family) does too. Sure you can get a trailer for your SUV, but hooking up to that things all the time sucks, and you need room for that trailer.

Get a taco, yer family will thank you.
