Not a big fan of those wheels.
Did you take one for a test drive?

PJnc284, you rock, and this forum rocks. Looking forward to making my own contributions! I'll let you all know if the Canuck version, specifically the 4x4 V6M AC version of the truck has that button!

    Thanks again!

I don't believe the V6 Manual has any of those buttons.... now I am very curious. I was thinking of driving out to the dealership but it's 30k away, and it's only 2˚C right now... somewhere around freezing. That would not normally be a big deal, except I only have the Miata (spouse has my hatchback), which is set up for racing which means I'm driving a convertible with no heat. It can almost wait!

The manual version won't have the Crawl / MTS buttons / dial

The brochure says "TRD Off-Road models come with a standard electronically controlled locking rear differential, which distributes engine power evenly to both rear wheels so they move at the same speed, providing more grip in low-traction conditions."

Note it doesn't say "available", it says "standard". I just downloaded the US owners manual... trying to find the Canadian one.

Before you mentioned something about replacing the hood scoop and the color matched overfenders with black ones? Those are standard on the sport model and not the off road.

That's the locker , it will have that

A manual 2016 TRD Offroad won't have Crawl Control or MTS , it has ATRAC

You are confusing the locker with the other traction devices

No, it says, and I quote "TRD Off-Road models come with a standard electronically controlled locking rear differential". I did not say "Crawl Control", "MTS" nor "ATRAC", I said "electronically controlled locking rear differential"

    OK , you're right , a TRD Offroad comes with a locker

I think I said that a couple pages back when you asked the first time

I said that's what I would have done if the OR didn't come with it. We didn't know what was going to be offered in Canada until just a few days ago, so I said I was happy that the OR came configured the way I wanted it anyway. My only issue with the Canadian V6M AC LB configuration was that it did not offer the locking diff... at least according to the available documentation, but I believe, as most people here seem to believe as well, that the documentation is wrong, and the Canadian version, like the American one, *do* offer the locking rear diff.

OK I think we're on the same page. The documentation says no, but I agree with you that it's probably wrong. And F#&^ the documentation, I think I will just go look at the damn thing!

The same documentation says the Canadian 4x4 V6A AC LB version does not have hill assist... I hope that one is true!

Saw a white double cab and grey access cab at Nanaimo Toyota. They look so similar to the 2nd gen, and yes better in person. Didn't get up close, just did a slow drive by. The Tacoma is really popular on Vancouver Island, makes sense for them to be showing up here.

Also not sure if it was posted yet but there's a white '16 Double cab TRD Sport at Squamish Toyota for $42,500. Ouch!
