I personally would rock the taco lean… But that's just me. I just switched from the 886 Springs to the 887 Springs because I only have a hybrid bumper on the front. I think the 886 or a good choice because you have a plate bumper and winch.

How much lift did the 886s give you 2.5? I'm also running 285/70/17 with minimal rubbing hopefully after I install the 886s it will clear that up

886= 3" with my hybrid bumper. The ride was pretty harsh. Where are you rubbing?

Ok can someone tell me why the back nitro shocks won't fit the rear? It's hitting at the groove on the bottom bracket? I know there was issues with the 15's not fitting but mine is 14'

Are you trying to impose I wouldn't know how to tell if my factory ball joints were maxed out at full droop
It would appear this is the case being as you provided a response previous to this indicating removing the LCA ball joint bolts from the spindles as the UCA balljoints were limiting additional droop the factory struts would apparently support.

Anyhow I don't listen to what people say on here. Rather I examine things on my own and get a clear understanding of whats going on. This is why I said I would have to see this in person to believe it. From a design perspective, it just seems crazy to me. That's a tremendous amount of weight those weenie ball joints are expected to support when the front end is drooped out. If this is the case though, good on you for knowing and sharing

You have a 1st Gen, the suspension is different.
Regardless you forced your arms down more than the range of motion offered from UCA balljoints?
One would think you would scar or bend them doing so.

Get the grinder out and take the sides down a bit.
Looks like you got 2015 tabs welded on.

I'd call ARB too, they apparently know about the 15s doing this and I wonder if there has been any reports for the 14s
Sucks big time, but pretty easy/quick fix.

I wasn't trying to be confrontational. I was genuinely going to try and help you out. But i guess ill just mind my own business next time.

You said your truck was far from stock so you couldnt test it so i offered to test it because i was driving a stock Tacoma as a rental. I just didnt know how to go about testing it. I wasnt trying to impose that you wouldn't know how to tell if your factory ball joints were maxed out at full droop. If you don't listen to what people say on here then why are you here asking questions and making comments?

I'm asking questions??? Honestly I don't think I've ever asked a suspension related question on here since I joined X amount of years ago. Maybe PMed some LT folks on valving questions, but that's about all.

Spenser I'm not trying to start anything here. I just found this balljoint thing interesting and hard to believe, thats all. Not saying anyone is right or wrong. Yes my truck is far from stock, I have close to 20k into it.

All is good with me, no hate from me at all, maybe just misuse of tone on my end.

Different, but the concept and design is nearly identical. Try it, guarantee you find the same results.

And I only did it because I was upgrading to uniball uppers. I wasn't concerned with damaging them.
