agree, a slightly lower hood for better visibility would be good.
there's a one foot unused space between the grill and the radiator that I think could
have better been used in the bed area.
update on pricing: I ended up paying 4% + $96. It wasn't a deal breaker for me
and I was ok with it. i think it might be for floor mats when i pick up the truck on Tuesday,
    we'll see.
fyi: my neighbor works for Toyota and he said if someone destroys your dash to remove
that expensive radio/gps/monitor and cuts the wiring harness its a 14k repair job.
Have full coverage insurance, a good alarm, ak-47, wheel locks and intimidating dog in the area.

Awesome. Can't really blame Toyota for designing a truck with that much space between the front bumper and the radiator, blame it on NHTSA and IIHS for that, imho.

    What color you going for?

truck was supposed to be $35.250 I got it for $34.100 shipping included. white double cab sport 4x4 with tow hitch.
zero price haggle on my side. i just said lets get to the point what is bottom line on your side.
i suppose after he builds up inventory and the excitement dies down you will be at a better
advantage to negotiate a price. but since everything was already sold and he had more
buyers than trucks he had the upper hand. if you keep you expectations in line you will be happy
with the truck. it will not get the gas millage of a prius, it will not carry more than an extended van,
it will not out accelerate a corvette, but it does everything it was meant to do well while being
    unusually reliable.

What have you done to your truck lately
Trade in your CRV and you can get the truck too.

36k and some change I don't have the papers with me.
they gave me $2500 trade in for a vehicle I was going to donate to charity
so it helped. Im going to do like everyone else on craigslist and use this truck for
20 years and ask what I paid for it when I sell it. =/ (slight sarcasm here)
maybe by then new trucks will be 50k

Actually a lot of truth with the craigslist statement and the current used inventory has quadrupled since the 16' release. It's unreal how much guys are asking for their Yotas on there.

I can definitely see if being a really high number (in the ballpark of 7.5k), but 14k seems a little high. Gonna have to make sure I only park it in relatively safe spots then lol

MGM. I wanted that dark blue metallic color they had on the 2014 and earlier, but they stopped that and the new blue is a little too bright and bold for me. MGM is a good one because I would get the super white too dirty, I wouldn't be able to keep the black clean, and MGM seems like a good middle. Was considering the silver for a little while though.

Awesome, can't go wrong with MGM?

Wouldn't it be more higher in HI then what you can get in the mainland since Servco isn't even a part of Toyota USA?

From what I understand, the manufacturer charges each dealer the exact same thing when it comes to everything. Their shipping and processing fee is supposed to be the same regardless of how far you are and the invoice price of the truck and accessories should be the same. I was reading that dealerships only 20 miles away from the factory were being charged the same fee as people across the mainland.

But that's just from what I've read on TW so far. What you read on the internet is ALWAYS right, right?

I've always wondered about this. I understand they have a limited inventory and that lower supply than demand = a higher price, but how does their "if you don't buy it, the person after you will" argument work if they simply order more and will order the one you want with the exact same specifications you want? They aren't really missing a sale, and they definitely aren't missing out on any money. In fact, I've read that if you order something they don't yet have on the lot, it actually saves them money because they pay less in lot fees.

they did some damage to the door and console as well.
still unrealistically high, maybe because insurance will cover it?
personally I think the decimal point is in the wrong place.

that's the impression I got at the time. I think it was 2015 models that would
make more sense. either way, the 14k repair bill almost scared me into not buying it.
