Bought my first one new at 34, and just bought my third one new at 47. BTW sold my last one to my 72 yr old father to use as a hunting/fishing rig. Trying to convert him to a full time Tacoma driver, but he loves his comfy Buicks.

    Same as everybody else...
I'm 56 and just upgraded to Toyota after driving a 99 Ranger, which I still drive. For me it's a lifestyle choice, I enjoy the outdoors so I bike and occasionally find myself driving gravel or dirt road, a car wouldn't cut it.

28 here. It's retarded to relate age to a vehicle. Buy what you want. I have always told my wife that I'm not going quiet - when I get ready to kick the can, going to go out, buy a new 911, and roll it 17 times on the highway. Suck it, stereotypers.

58, Not seeing anything odd about a 50-something driving a Tacoma, besides, my 18 year old girlfriend looks good in it....

(PLEASE don't let my wife read this)

:rimshot: But seriously folks..... I've owned all sorts of cars, trucks, SUV's etc....Full size and compacts and everything in between. I can't understand why there would be any issue with a "senior" driving a vehicle that's easy to drive, easy to park, easy to get in and out of.....ALL of which my Tacoma excels at. I recently parted company with a Dodge 2500 quad cab, long bed. It was like driving a freekin' school bus. As my reaction time and vision begin to show early signs of "old-ness", I feel it's a GOOD MOVE to drive something other than a truck the size of an aircraft carrier.

And the first person who says I'm too old to drive a Tacoma is going to see just how much of a grumpy old man I can be.:duel:

AND....I still like to head into the woods and do a little wheelin'. :mudding::burnrubber:, so why wouldn't I want a vehicle that handles THAT chore with relative easy?

So, in closing, tell your punk ass friend with the attitude that us ancient farts in Taco's will be glad to teach him a little respect if he's up to a good ass whoopin'. :humble:

I will always have a truck. Will probably be one of this octogenarians that putts around, stopping on the side of the road to pick up aluminium cans with piss in my pants etc...

Each Time I see a full size truck, the driver looks small. Does the size of the truck make the drivers look small or do small people drive full size trucks? I think it's the latter.

I'm 64. I've driven pick ups for work and personal for many years. I'm on my second Tacoma. Love them.

Only 26, but according to the kids in our neighborhood, it's an "old man" truck. So looks like my plan to drive it until it dies will work out. :D

I think it's the cap on the back, for some reason those seem to have the "grandpa" stigma attached to them.

I am 68 and both my Golf Clubs and my Hockey bag fit in the bed. That doesn't leave much room for my hiking gear. So I don't think I am too old for my Tacoma TRD .

I don't want to start anything here but I am 25 and I do wonder why the older guys aren't driving a Tundra. I think the same thing when I see a young guy driving a Tundra and wonder why he isn't driving a Taco. I guess since a large populace of my high school drove a Tacoma, i feel as though it is a truck intended for a younger generation with the intention that eventually you upgrade to a Tundra. Just my thoughts.
