40,000 behind production is why they may soon be telling customers it will be 4 months before orders reaches dealers. It was 2 weeks then 3 weeks now 4 plus weeks before build dates available to customers. It will be 4 week next thrusday since I place order with dealer and no build date - betting it is 6 weeks before my order pops means early January. Waiting game.is ultimate appropriate name for this column. If you have an order keep us posted. We will be able to see the trend begin to shorten..

I was given a build date of 11/3 for my TRD OR SB DC jbl in quicksand. I called back this week to check and salesman told me they are requesting that allocation so it's not technically mine yet. Two weeks so far for me.

There is hope! Mine was 13 days from order to delivery. I was originally told 4-6 weeks. They swapped an allocation with a dealer in another state somehow and grabbed mine right before the build date. Hopefully some of you still waiting will have similar luck.

I was going to order a red limited, but the dealer was able to re-route one at port in Jacksonville that was headed to Miami to me in Orlando. I paid a deposit today and was told Wednesday delivery. After reading these posts of people waiting weeks, I will feel pretty lucky if I'm driving my new limited four days after paying the deposit.

Haha waiting 3 or 4 weeks. I've been waiting 8 weeks already and it's still another 2 weeks until my build date.

I ordered a DCLB TRD MGM on 10-1 haven't got a manufacturing date yet either. Reading the replies above it looks like after Christmas for sure.

Oh well what can you do I guess.

I originally ordered a DCLB TRD sport 4x4 in blue and was told a delivery date of 8-10 weeks. After waiting a few weeks I called the manager to see if there was any status update at all. He was pretty frank with me, and informed me that the long beds are pretty rare and to not expect it before the end of the year at best. :( Which seems to line up with what I have been reading on this forum.

Being the inpatient person I am asked if he had any DCSB coming in. With my luck he actually had a DCSB TRD sport 4x4 in inferno coming in at the end of October. This wasn't my first choice but after seeing a few pictures online it has grown on me. I am a bit concerned that my 29er mountain bike won't fit. After taking some measurements I believe I will be able to close the tailgate with the front wheel off (anyone have any experience with this?). If not I can always sling it over the tailgate with a mat or use my hitch mount.

The point of the post is that unless you are dead set on a specific configuration you can probably land one sooner if your dealer has some already allocated and set for delivery. Very excited about getting my truck in 2 weeks versus 10+

I have a older Salsa El Mariachi in a medium that just barely clears the tailgate in my dad's DCSB gen2 if that helps.

I put a deposit on a incoming MGM Limited 4X4 w/tow package on Sep14th with a local dealership here in south NJ. The build date is 10/26, I hope to take delivery by 2nd week of November or so, my price was 1000 below MSRP. I am pretty happy with that, as the last two Toyotas Tacomas I bought 1989 and 2002 I paid damn near full MSRP. Seems like Toyota has no problem selling all the Tacomas they can make. I am still using the 2002 Pre-runner as my daily driver till my 2016 arrives.

It typically takes 3 to 4 weeks for freight here on the east coast. I would be surprised if you got it that soon. I like to hope for the worst then be pleasantly surprised lol.

You mean Toyota wont ship my 2016 Taco after it rolls off the assembly line by 747 cargo plane and fly it up to Newark just for me ASAP? Don't they know I am in a hurry! Oh well I guess patience is a virtue. Like the saying says All things come to he who waits. But, Damn it! they better hurry it up!
So far have not seen any 2016 Tacos on the road in south Jersey yet.

There are some patient folks in this thread. I would be going stir crazy waiting 1 or 2 months. I was fortunate that my local dealer had the exact truck I wanted coming in this month. My Silver DCSB TRD Sport should be here by the end of the week or beginning of next week, assuming there are no delays. It's a short wait, but I have a feeling it's going to seem like forever. Good luck to everyone trying to survive the wait, short or long!

I ordered this past week on Tuesday. DCSB OR 4x4 in BB w/ Premium&Tech package w/ JBL. I was told that I can expect my truck in February. Really hoping the 1-2.5 month wait is what will really happen based on others here in the forum. Can't wait to get into the Tacoma, it will be my first truck!

I ordered a grey TRD Sport access cab with premium & tech package on September 20th. Salesman said Toyota has not even "accepted" the order yet because they are not building Sports with premium tech pkg until December and I won't see it until Feb at best. At this point I may just cancel the thing.

    Sucks.
