I've new to this site and have been reading up on the TSB.
I purchased an '09 Regular Cab 4X4 with a 4 cyl, put an ARI Commercial cap on it and started loading "some" tools, and already noticed how much the rear is sagging, so much that I have people in front of me flippin me off from my headlights being so high...
Has anyone been able to get it done on the regular cab? I see it lists only the acces and double cabs getting it done.

    I also have a 2010 Double Cab 2X4 with a 3 leaf pack.

I just called my local delership yesterday, the damn thing has 280 miles on it and I know this will be a problem down the road. I haul dirtbikes and tow a 3500# boat.

When I called I spoke to the service manager, she did not seem to know anything about the TSB. She asked me to send it to her so I emialed it and am waiting to hear back.

    I'll keep you guys posted.

Sorry I forgot to give my update last night. So I called the dealership that bought it from (last thursday) and they said "that TSB was for '08's and teh leaf springs have been fixed".

I told the guy that the part number that is referanced on the TSB is the same part number on my leafs, he still insisted that it did not matter and that the leaf issue has been addressed.

So I called the 1-800 Toyota number and filed my "concearn" about the leafs. The individual that took my call filed the complaint and said that he knew about the TSB already and that it will likely get re-drawn soon and include the '09 and '10's.

I am now waiting to hear back from Toyota Corp or my local dealership.

    We'll see....

On a 2010 DC in VT...called the toyota CS # and they got me connected with Heritage Toyota. They inspected it this morning and said they isolated the problem and it is definitely the rear suspension. I am the first one to come in with a '10 and they have to go thru the hoops. Indicated that the most likely fix will be 4 leaves and upgraded shocks. Will keep you posted...she did say that the leaves on the truck ARE the upgrade 3 leaf pack from previous years but I think she understood that they are NOT working...

I had the 4 leaf TSB done on my 09 DC Sport less than a month ago. This weekend I towed my single axle trailer with my loader tractor on it... Trailer weighs a grand, tractor and accessories is ~2500. Vast difference in handling and stance of truck when loaded. Get it done (if you can).

I have been waiting two weeks for them to talk to an engineer at toyota in regards to my 08. I guess it is about time to get a little aggressive.

I brought my '09 Reg cab 4x4 in for it's first service and when I made the appointment I had them make note of my complaint, I spoke to the service rep and he could see it was obvious that the rear was sagging just sitting there. But there was nothing they could do since the tsb only covers up to '08...
Imeed called the Toyota CS, got a file number...
the dealer called the next day and within a day they said they were going to replace the springs, I asked about the rest of the tsb. and they are looking into it.

other good note, I complained to the Toyota customer rep I wasn't happy with the dealer because they promised me $150 scrap value for my clunker, then said they couldn't do it... well two days after I complained I got a check in the mail for $150 from the dealer. That will pay for my hitch!

OK, well I had my appointment yesterday with the service manager at my local dealership. She was more than pleasant, she was actually singing a completely different tune that she did when we talked on the phone about a week ago. (I think my call to corporate made it back around to her)

She said that she would have her techs "take a look at it" and as they were doing that she came outside and said, "Nick, I have some great news, as of today Toyota decided to extend the rear leaf spring TSB to cover 09 and 10 Tacomas and Tundras"

I kinda chuckled to myself thinking how ironic....either way, she ordered me the parts and I'll be going in next week to have my rear leaf spring TSB addressed.
