Busy weekend, but I was glad to be out in the garage yesterday afternoon putting the truck back together:

My trail team emblem arrived Friday  going to get the paint scheme figured out and hopefully get it on Caitlyn before winter!

Hit the flea market with @GARSHA91 Sunday morning and he got me this for $10! Thanks again brother!

    ARB shackle for scale:

Contacted BigAssHitches to see what the diameter of their shackle mount hole is..this pin is 2" in diameter

Here are some more pics of the shell in the daytime :woot:

Found out that the LED light can only work with the parking lights on..not loving that. I will have to change that..

Worked in the garage yesterday afternoon getting the bed setup somewhat back to normal. Loving it so far and I am excited to test it out!

Removed the Tundra 4x4 emblem and the trail rated emblem and installed my overland bound emblem:

Lastly, I thought I would prevent the firestik from making contact with the shell thus causing damage to the paint. I'm not sure if others have run into this issue before and thought it would be best to be prepared

I hope to hear back from the shop today by noon about getting the right windoor setup :pout:

Thanks man! I actually got the idea from a Uwharrie TW video on Youtube. He used it to protect his back from the firestik, but the principles are the same

Sticker soon, I promise. I have many stickers that need to go on so it is always so hard organizing horsepower..

Thanks! Decided to go with the shackle flip instead. Close to the same amount of travel without potentially compromising bed space

    Lucky..

Tough decision for sure. I, unfortunately, do not have (1) a welder close to me that knows what they're doing (2) the time to spend there over a whole weekend or (3) the money to complete the swap with beast shocks.

I do have the capacity to complete the shackle flip at home, in one day and the funds to get some decent 12" fox shocks all while basically ending up within 0-2" of the same travel as a 63 swap.

Who knows, in the future, maybe a 63 swap when it is more practical..not like the leaf packs are hard to find :bananadead:

Well some disappointing news from the vendor. They called LEER and LEER said they don't make vented windoors for the short bed shell; only long bed shells. :pout: anyone know if another company makes them for short bed shells?

Took care of some small things yesterday:

    1) Some undercoating; the frame looks good but I just touched up some of the areas that needed some more attention. Should be good for winter

    2) I have been tossing around the idea of keeping the ski racks on year round to hold fishing rods. I needed to move the the Maxtrax pins over more to the passenger side. Luckily the brackets I fabbed up allow to be pushed flush against the side rails but still allowing the Maxtrax to be completely on the roof rack without any overhang. I am very happy with the results and my skills (mostly luck). I also took this time to move the Thule rack to their own crossbars, they were on the Maxtrax pin crossbars. This will make switching the ski racks back and forth between the cabrac and the toprac easier and faster.

    3) My cargo netting arrived for the shell; I am just waiting on the D rings to come (they should be in today :notsure: ). I had to order some extra clips for the netting just for support. The netting I bought recommended by @Chux has only 4 clips. Here are the links for those interested:

    Netting: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093XPC94?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

    Clips: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E011L3A?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01

    4) Next was debadging; did the driver and passenger doors and the shell. The door badges were in rough shape and I did not feel like spending the time and energy masking, taping, derping and removing the derp. Looks good IMHO and now I'm part of the cool kids club

    5) Lastly was some inexpensive HP courtesy of @Acerwin. It's official now..#EAF!
