I didn't vote for stevie.
I make a very good wage and have no problem being taxed and helping people with those taxes. I didn't vote for my own pocket book. I voted for Canada. I voted for the people who want to come to Canada to make a better life for themselves (Like 98% of you since I doubt more than 2% are Indigenous, and even if you are, there's no way you're 100%). I voted for being able to practice whatever religion you want (On the basis it doesn't infringe on others beliefs, or lack thereof.) And I didn't vote out of fear.

 

I'd challenge it's until ANYONE wins. No one will be totally eliminating C-51, they all want the power no matter what anyone of them says, and basically you are choosing to either pay more tax and gain a few benefits if you earn a low enough salary or pay less tax and live with the status quo. Not exactly thrilling options for most families making the average or slightly better.

"Nice hair though", "I have a Lego man haircut", and "I'd like the remortgage Canada" are not great options. Oh, and for the lefties around here that would be Vanilla Ice cream, Supermechano Hitler Satan, and Non religious Jesus.

 

I just would like to see less centralized power in the PMO to whip votes in the House and Senate . A minority government will be good for democracy

 

Four years of Trudeau and some on the Left may finally figure out the Liberals and their lining of their own pockets. We finally get an honest PM and we toss him for a school teacher. What a f@@ked up country.

OK fellas , as OP i think it's my place to remind you guys that political discussion gets threads locked on TW and in this thread we have been fortunate to be allowed to discuss it for years because ;

A) the Americans have no clue who or what we are talking about

and

B) even when we are on different ends of the political spectrum the discission doesn't devolve into a complete shitshow

Seriously though, I have no problem with people who are, and vote conservative. However, no one can look me in the eye and say with a straight face Harper is the best choice. 3 elections cheated in (And stories coming out about #4 too), contempt of parliament twice, proroguing government to avoid non-confidence issues. No, he's a horrible choice I won't hear otherwise and I'll provide example after example. Are all politicians self serving? Probably. Harper is at the top of the list though.
