toyota goes to ocotillo wells and glamis to make their commercial. The send all the 4x4 to other places. This is just stupid to think no one in SoCal wants a 4x4. As I watched monster energy cup last night I saw the commercial 8 times , but when you go to the dealer they only have 2x4s and a lot of them . Toyota who the hell wNts a off road 2x4?
And when you choose to make a commercial 100 miles from San Diego , Orange County and LA you better send 4x4
Makes me want to buy the Chevy just cause all the crap!!!

The people who buy 4x2 don't know that the car in the commercial is a 4x4. They just see a truck doing truck things.

How was the cup? I forgot to watch it last night

Look how many people lift their 4X2 Tacomas. Many, many people want the look of a 4X4 more than they want a 4X4. Toyota sold the sweet shit out of Gen1 and Gen2 prerunners in AZ. I know the 4X2 Gen3 will be no different. Then there is the dealer I am getting my truck from in Colorado. I was told they don't even order 4X2 Tacomas and they are the 3rd highest volume Tacoma dealer in the country.

Just goes to show that TV watching is bad for "some" folks. Seriously go buy the Chevy those commercials are WAY better than Toyota commercials cause our tax dollars paid for them ....

Prob cause most of SoCal peps are posers. Their TRD Sports and Offroads never leave pavement, but they can sure play the part. Socal is about looking cool.

Prerunners do pretty dang good over road especially in the environment where they filmed. Only diff in a Tacoma Prerunner and 4x4 is the prerunner has no power to front wheels. 95% of the 4x4s around DFW probably never seen conditions off road that require 4wd. Don't really need 4WD for the 2 winter events we get each year. I have found that when you have it other people expect you at the office.

go buy a new gm twin..... its cool n all.... but my GF's brand new RAV 4 has better approach and departure angles than those POS trucks.

hey i take offense to that! haha. Though you are right, most are 100% mall crawlers.... but there are the few of us out here that actually do use our trucks off road.

I was skeptical at "marketin" and stopped reading at "as I watched monster energy cup last night."
