The V2 XSBs are about twice as bright as the V1 and especially in amber mode. They can also be run in amber constantly, since they are replacing both XSB V1 and XA models.

As long as you got the ColorControl module with the demon eyes you'll be good to go with that setup!

Will there be a wiring diagram so we would have constant Amber. Like I said a few posts back I need a 120mm in Amber

Yes, but it's just a two wire setup: black (ground) and yellow (power) for amber.

looks like I just bought the wrong stuff. I bought the led-lit panorama, and 80mm switch backs. do I need to order the 120's as well?

You can't use the 120s in the LED DRL Panameras. Just the 80s on the front. :)

Awesome. That's great. Watching every video available and reading all I can to try and do this right.

    Thanks

We don't do any retrofitting as a company. I offer it on the side for Tacoma owners exclusively. Please PM me if you're interested in that service.

Performance in aftermarket halogen projectors is generally poor. This is just a quick example of Spyder projector (bottom), and our standard Mini H1 projector (top):

Hello, I was wondering with the FX-R and a passive demon eye I have noticed that there is still the inside bottom of the housing that shows through with the metal. Is it recommended to paint this area or will it not really matter?

As long as you're using ceramic paint (engine enamel, caliper paint, etc.), you can remove and paint that part as well if you wish. :)

How hard is it to pop the glass lens off? Looks like if I took a small flat head screw driver I could pop the metal ring off. Which, I would assume would allow me to remove the lens and be able to paint that inside part of the metal housing.

    This sound correct?

Nope, don't go in through the lens. You can pull everything off from behind, unless you think it's the small portion right under the lens inside?

Yes, the small portion that is part of the metal housing. It is on the bottom and the top. I have already painted these parts.

Two quick questions. Easiest way to get the sealant off after separation? And if I accidentally got some on the lenses what should I do.

@TRSAndrew I bought the D2S 3.0 for my motorcycle but it doesn't come apart like the FX-Rs on the truck for a passive demon eye. Is a passive demon eye not really an option or does it come apart and I'm just not seeing it

Pretty sure in order to do it on the 3.0s you'd have to drill out the parts that hold them together and replace with small bolts and nuts. I just used qtips and a paint marker from Walmart to do mine... Finessed it through the gaps until I was happy with them
