So I was just in Country Hills Toyota here in Calgary getting an oil change on my 2012 taco, and decided to have a look at the 2016's. To be quite honest, I must of build the hype up much more in my head hearing all the raves about upgraded interior…nothing looked impressive to me…just felt like I was in my current truck with different knobs.
I told them I've purchased 4 Tacomas from them over the years, and they were quite willing to move at least $2,000 off the msrp sticker price ($44,500 to around $42,000) which I was happy to hear! I'm looking hard at the upgraded package auto trd sport 4x4, all depends now what I can get for my current truck!

All I can say is I am now ecstatic that I picked up a 15 Limited last month. I had worked with several dealers on pricing out a leftover as well as the new 16's. No one could commit to any pricing on the 16. I purchased from an out of province dealer and got a call late last week for a 16 limited from another dealer I had been working with. Full retail pricing was over 10k above what I paid for the 15. I played along as if I hadn't yet bought anything and they dropped roughly a couple grand. Still more than 8k over the 15. No thank you.

FWIW - If I had waited for the 16, I would not have not ended up buying a new Tacoma. Would have been into an F150 DC with full load as the pricing I had received was within a couple hundred plastic brown bills as to what the 16 Limited would have cost me.

I just bought a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport with upgrade option for 42,430 + tax. in St. John's. They would not move on the price and as they were
    are all pre-sold. I am glad I waited for the 2016. I see a 2016 parked next to a 2015, what a difference. I love the 2016.

That it is... Posted so others can see the pricing that the local dealer was willing to do on a 16 LTD Captain. 2k off list.

Glad to hear it worked out for you! I was dealing on a 2015 trd or aclb 6mt, got a great price, but then they couldn't find one :( so I had them put my deposit on a 16 instead. I wish I had the desire to drive a full size. My dad has a beautiful f150 lariat and a coworker has a Laramie limited ram 1500, and after driving both I have absolutely no desire to own either. Now I'm just waiting to hear on a delivery date.

3 days!! Hopefully only 3 more days and I'll be in my truck. Sooo tired of this rental.

Does anyone know what the stock rubber is on the DCLB Sport? TIA

Im surprised more of us Canadian taco people are not more annoyed about the lack of configurations with this new 2016? We are a small market etc etc... But look at the hundreds of ways you can build and option out a new Colorado/canyon (not enough reason for me to buy one)

Still NO: TRD Off road double cab (short or long box!), TRD Sport Access Cab
GONE: SR5 double cab short box manual,SR5 Access cab manual V6, base double cab long box auto, base double cab short box manual, V6 Access Cab base

People are annoyed. They are just not annoyed enough to buy something else.

I won't get out of work until at least 4:30 pm and, apparently, my voter card has some issues (my wife checked into it) so I need to show up with two pieces of ID and fill out a bunch of paper work before getting my ballot.

    No Tacoma shopping today lol.

I was on the lot of our local Toyota dealer on Saturday. Slim pickings on the 2015 models, I believe only a Limited in the 4 door models. They had at least a dozen 2016 models in all forms except for the limited. I suspect the Limited version may be a slower sell with about a $4000 bump for basically a leather interior and a couple of minor add ons. Apparently the Limited version comes with the TRD wheels in Canada not the 18 inch USA version which actually looked really good and made the truck look more Limited IMO.

    That's what I thought.

Will be ready to pick up on Wednesday, so when the ink is dry on the Sales Agreement I will post it and pictures...

The Limited comes with the 17" wheels but they don't look like the TRDs, which are 16".

I posted a picture of my Limited in the Canadian 16 Thread, which shows a the rims.

This is just a quick shot the salesman sent me off the truck just after it was driven off the transport.

    Nice!

The only thing I want from the Limited though is the leather and the JBL upgrade, except I don't like the colour of the leather. I think I'll live with the Sport Upgrade package and pick my own cowhide.

Awesome deal though, I definitely wanna see how it looks.
