Looks awesome. I like that it clears the hood strut. I was wondering if there was any concern about your tie down coming in contact with the battery terminals? It makes me a littler nervous looking at how that tie down is oriented.

Do you have a source for a strong non conductive material you could use?

That is a concern I had which is why I changed the design so that it's offset a bit. I hadn't thought about using something like delin, I'll see how well that will do.

It's defiantly close but I'm not super worried. The top bar is 3/16" steel and I have to be careful not to tighten it down too much or I can crack the plastic of the battery.

It feels great to get the driveline vibrations out!

Man, when driving above 60 it would start to vibrate and eventually vibrate so much it felt like the truck was going to fall apart.

It turns out it was a bad center carrier bearing, so I replace it along with the center U joint and added the OME FK29 carrier drop.

    Buttery smooth!

This is coming! I took a chance to see if it would fit and it does. Barely.

The harness is easy, it's a $30 part from Toyota. I'm going to have to extend the the wires though. The camera is the tough part. OEM cameras run on 6V while most of the aftermarket are 12. I happened to find a new OEM one on eBay for cheap. there' $300 new.

Are you going to have to relocate the contactor/controller?

Everything is looking REALLY good man! Love the dual battery setup. Can't wait to see what's next. Also, how are you liking the hard top? Would you have gone with any different features if you could?

Man I'm backed up on updates like you!

I relocated the controller to the driver side area where the relay box was. It was really tight fitting it all in and I had to make a bracket.

The dual battery setup is going to be redone soon as well. It's been an obsession lately, but I'm going to offer them for sale once the design get's streamlined.

As far as the cap goes, I love it. I've done some things to bed area that require cover now. The only thing I would do differently is get side windows that open. I hate having to crawl into the truck to get something that slid down to the back. I've been looking at some ARE's with side windows that seem nice.

Right on man. I've been looking at hard shells more and more recently. But that may just be because I'm running out of things to do. That side access would be nice. I'd also want it to have enough ventilation for a dog when they are not riding shotgun or back seat.

Same here, these are the ones I was looking at. They open up for full access from the sides and they also slide to ventilate.

Nice! I have 2.5" or so lift all around and at 60-65 I get a pretty bad vibration but over 65 it goes away. How'd you come to conclusion of bad carrier bearing?

The amount of play that it had. You can check it by getting under the truck and grab the drive shaft around the carrier bearing. Shake it up and down and if there is more an 1/4" play it's worn or wearing out.

Mine had a lot of play, so after replacing the carrier bearing the vibes went away.
