I can't see any fluid leaking from the reservoir itself and nothing from the bottom of the vehicle. My question is it safe to drive just home tonight and to the dealer in the morning.

You don't need power steering. Drive home.

Mine always "leaks" down to a certain level, but there is always some crusty greasy stuff on the bottom of my engine. It is fine to drive, it's under warranty, it's bulletproof!!

Take it back to the dealer and say if I wanted something that leaks I would have bought a Ford

This is just such bs. Where is the QC from the factory Toyota. I just hope I am not one of the 0.02% who ended up with a lemon on my hands. So frustrated already.

First, check engine light problem on the third gen's and now a power steering issue. The kinks are slowly starting to show. :pout:

This is crazy, I've seen one with a poor fitting stop light fuse, which caused it to not want to start(smart key) and another with a bad a/c line. Still waiting on the line, been about 2 weeks.

Being an early adopter of things is not always a good thing. Granted no vehicle is perfect and no car company is capable of releasing tens of thousands of vehicles without issues.

True, but it's also alarming about the wide range of issues that are being reported. Makes you wonder what else has the potential to go wrong. But it's a Toyota, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

Exactly, little minor things that can easily and quickly be repaired under factory warranty are much more desirable than say a power train issue. I guess this kinda goes without saying but still. Take the good with the bad I suppose.

Your power steering leak does not qualify the vehicle as a Lemon

Does everyone see what I did there? I didn't say, "Your power steering leak definitely qualifies your vehicle as a Lemon. Take it back to your dealer and start screaming LEMON inside the dealership."

    I didn't write that. I'm a changed man

I know but sometimes I feel like one of those guys saying "just my luck". I say this because my '11 had its fair share of issues that were covered under warranty but still a PIA and took time out of schedule to try to address, when at the end of the day I just want something that works. Hence why I went with Toyota, or at least that's what I initially thought.

This is my second Tacoma I have owned that was built in Mexico. I doubt this has anything to do with it but I am starting to seriously question the baja plant's inspection process of vehicles leaving their facility.

Honestly once I saw that first 3 in the VIN number I got discouraged. I cannot guarantee but would likely put money on it, that if it was a San Antonio truck this wouldn't have happened.

Wasn't trying to make this an American/Mexican worker debate but one can't help but draw certain conclusions when you own two trucks both made in Mexico and end up being gar-bage.

I have always perceived Toyota as a brand associated with high quality but now I am starting to doubt this notion and it bugs the hell outta me since I pretty much went all in on the 2016.
