I'm wanting to level my truck. I have a set of 5100s laying in my floor but..... I have read conflicting info on several threads on what to set the snap ring at whether it be .85 or 1.75. As for my truck it's an 05 v6 double cab 4x4. Planning on 265/75-16 in somewhat near future

Most likely .85". The tacomas with the 3+1 rear leafs use the 1.75" setting to level. The easiest thing to do is measure from fender to center of hub on the wheel. What ever the difference is front to rear is the setting you would use.

Yep. .85 for 3 leaf pack. 1.75 for 4 leaf pack. Enjoy.

I was in the same situation! I was initially going to install the billie's at 1.75, but I'm glad I didn't. Turns out I achieved around an inch of lift with the shocks at .85. Note I had my springs replaced with some new takeoffs. The truck has 100k, so my leafs are shot and need to be upgraded. I opted the cheap way out and ended up installing one inch blocks in the rear to make up for the sag.

Mine are at .85 and it went up just a hair over an inch. I've got 3 leafs out back and it sits about level. I would prefer a little rake so it ought to be perfect whenever Toyota finishes their spring recall. Only problem now is i'm maxed out on headlight adjustment so I occasionally get a flash from oncoming traffic.

i didn't count my leafs. Worst case scenario I put a 1" block and some rear 5100 on. Do you have hid?

Nope stock headlights. HID retrofits are asking to get pulled over... Adjusters are maxed out so I can't aim them down any further. It's not bad but I do get an occasional flash.

I have 3 leafs and went with the 1.75" setting.

Mine had a lot of factory rake. It was 2.25" high in the rear when stock, now it's almost level (0.5" high in the rear).

Here is my '15 Prerunner 4cyl set at .85". That setting ended up lifting the front about 1.5"- which was a little too nose high for me. After a few weeks I added 1" blocks to the rear and it's legit now.

do you think that's because since its new it don it because the coils haven't settled or is it common to get that much out of the .85 or possibly Bly happens with pre runner? I just don't want to have to do it twice to get it right. The difference in my measurements front and rear was about 1.8 inches

Of course more engine weight will be a factor as well.

My front/rear difference was only about 1". It sounds like 1.75 might be the way to go in your case. When I look at your profile pic though I could imagine 1.75 going a bit too high up front. Also several members have indicated that the ride quality suffers the higher you go (although often that seems to pertain to the stiffer TRD springs). So yes there's some more conflicting information to add!

This image you can see the rake is more prominent. I think the angle of the thumb is less noticeable as well

Lol, that looks like a tight squeeze for your DCLB! And is that a Camry?

Yes and yes. I have a brick on the floor I bump my tire against. I've got maybe a foot combined front and rear clearance. It's an 08 Camry. We are about to get rid of it and get a 4Runner because we are about to have a baby in December

A foot of room may be a bit of an exaggeration lol. I can just squeeze into the storage room door in front of the truck. No way I can get around the rear
