    Well, just to keep it light, I suggest we all go back to a Monarchy. Appoint a King, Queen or even a Jenner. If they do good, keep them. If not, cut off their heads and start again. Should keep the riff-raff out of office.

    Personally, I think Stevo and some of his boys should leave with some dignity in tact.
    Ummm, yeah, the pundits on TV are saying this is the bigggest turn around by any party after being virtually wiped off of the political map and that the Liberals did it in this election allowing the Conservatives only 1 term in majority...

    And let's not forget it was the Liberals that defeated the deficit (Martin and Chretian) that was left for us by Wilson and Mulroney...

    Lol, okay but that's a totally different topic than what I was saying. I said that the PC's need to evolve rather than change revolutionary. When the Liberals revolted on themselves after Chretien, ie the party was fairly divided internally, it hurt them for the next 3 elections until they could really unify again and build momentum behind a leader. If Harper steps down and allows the party to select a new leader without leaving a gapping hole by walking out like a child he is helping to create a strong opposition, which is good for our democracy.
