Sometimes the auto transmission in my 15 Taco downshift as I'm slowing and doesn't upshift as soon as it should or normally does. Its not a daily occurrence. Truck has 14k on the clock. Anyone else have the issue? Just the nature of the beast or is there something I need to look for?

not an issue, its a feature of the truck and the way the transmission works. It will sense a hill and you riding the breaks on auto downshift. I can get mine to go from 5th to 3rd almost every time on a specific hill on my way home from work with the right braking cues.

FYI, if say it downshifts to 3rd, and you want to bring it up to fourth, move the gear selector from D to 4 back to D (it can be as quick as you would like it). This will move the trans back up one gear at a time till the top gear (5th) for each D>4>D move.

If it say downshifts to 3rd and you want to go immediately back to 5th coasting (no fuel cut) move the gear selector from D to N back to D (as quick as you want) and this will move the trans up to 5th and feed it the idle amount of fuel.

Thanks! I thought it was either something like that or a low Fluid issue, which I doubted. I Love this truck!
