I think most wives do. Almost like it's their right to do it. Problem is my wife and I are not on the same page with the temperature. I'm burning up and she is freezing. Damn ice queen. Hahahahahaha

My wife chews gum for about 5 minutes, then spits it back into the wrapper and rolls it into a little ball. Later I find these foil & gumballs in the cup holders, the doors etc... If it has been hot enough to melt the gum, then I have a worse mess to clean up.

So I'm not married but when I first bought my truck and my gf went for the first ride and started messing with everything I told her I don't touch anything in your car except the window so please don't touch shit in my truck except your window. She listened and only messes with the visor when sun is in her eyes. And she knows also that she only uses mirror on visor when we are stopped I told her it distracts me and gets in my sight of the road so she gets in now

After all this, NOW I'll tell ya a little story about my wife and what she does for me....

Last year, on November 22nd, I got up like any weekday morning, climbed into my Dodge 2500 quad cab, long bed, 4wd, hemi gas hog, and started off to work. Just as I was passing the local police station, a car turned in front of me. I slowed up a bit, but the car accelerated away, and I followed, as safe distance behind it. I noticed a police car was behind that car when it turned. The police car turned into traffic 2 cars behind me. About a block later, the road tops a hill and starts down the back side of the hill. At that point, I notice a car stopped in the oncoming lane. The car in front of me pounds on his brakes. I do the same. I manage to stop about 10 feet from his back bumper. The Nissan Altima behind me never saw my brake lights. The driver was distracted by the blue lights on top of the police car coming on at that exact instant. She plowed into the rear end of my Dodge. Her car went UNDER my truck. My back bumper hit her windshield, her bumper hit the rear axle of my truck, driving it up and under the cab. The impact stood my truck on it's front bumper. And, as I later found out, the car behind the police car was my wife, a witness to the entire event.

OK...The car stopped in the oncoming lane was there because he'd hit a small dog that wasn't hurt all that bad, but was still laying in the road. The car that stopped in front of me was the father of the driver that hit the dog. He had gone by the police station to get help. The police were on their way to get the dog out of the road. Now we have a serious wreck.....

The driver of the Nissan wasn't hurt too bad, albeit having an air bag go off in her face. I wasn't hurt, but was shook up. The impact caused my drivers seat to snap off the mounts and roll into the back seat. Frame was wadded up, rear suspension ripped from the frame. bed wasted, etc, on a truck that had 237,000+ miles already. Toast. Totaled X2.

My wife stopped, jumped out of her car and immediately ran to see if I was OK. After I convinced her I was fine, her NEXT move was to make certain the driver of the Nissan was up and walking. THEN she went to attend to the dog. It had a broken leg, but was otherwise OK. My wife is close friends with a woman who owns an animal clinic in town. She made contact with her friend, and took the dog to the vet. It had no collar and no one there knew who the dog belonged to.

We would later find out that the dog belonged to a 9 year old girl with autism. Her mother had let the dog out to pee and it ran off. They had no money to pay for the vet bill. The little girl who the dog belonged to was inconsolable. So....My wife and the vet agreed to split the cost of caring for the dog. Later that day, the little girl was reunited with her dog. That ended well.

OK....Back up 3 days. I was already shopping for a new truck. I'd found the one I wanted. It was a VERY low mileage 2011 Tacoma DCSB Off Road. I was planning on going to buy it that coming weekend.

On the day of the wreck, after we made it home, I called in to work and told them I'd be off a day or two, and as soon as I got a rental, I'd be back to work. My wife says she needed to run a couple errands. She leaves, and 2 hours later, I get a phone call from her. She told me to walk out to the driveway and wait. A couple minutes later, she pulls in the driveway IN MY TACOMA! She'd taken money out of her savings and bought me the truck.

Her part in the above is typical of how she takes care of EVERYONE, especially me.

And the story includes people involved in wrecks, puppy dogs, little girls with autism, and spoiled husbands......Sounds like a plot for a TV reality show doesn't it?

So tell me how I could possibly bitch at her about playing with my sun visor.....

This story ^^ confirmed the way I was thinking when reading all the post in the thread (some good stuff, I did get a chuckle out of a lot of the post in the thread)...it's little shit for the most part and we all do it to each other & get it done to us. I have my own list of OCD crap but, it was worse when I was younger. It's the big shit that counts...the rest of it doesn't get to waste space & time in my brain anymore for the most part.

Sounds like your wife rocks man even if she fucks with your visor.

A bit late to the party, but thanks for sharing the story.

Side note, wife does the same with the visor and it drives me nutty too. It will go from daylight to dark out and the visor still stays down... I don't get it. To me its always the illogical things that get me. Example - she wants the screened windows closed most of the time because ants will get in (they only crawl through windows ) OR she can't sleep with the ceiling fan on because the blowing air bothers her (its on low, switched to blow towards the ceiling and she sleeps with a blanket over her head)

Best friend and love of my life though.... god knows she puts up with plenty of my crap so I do what I can to keep my mouth shut.
