I was hoping that my 2nd gen bed cover would fit a 3rd gen so I wouldn't have to buy a new one. Are they different in fit?

The lip on the front and back of the bed are now level with the sides so you might need to modify the old one to fit. They used my truck as a prototype for manufacturing the new model. The bed dimensions are the same though.

You'll have to call them directly. They just built the first one for me yesterday.

I have a feeling this will be a bit more secure than velcro but I've never had one before.

    Stock for now
Is the part of the frame across the tailgate removable or does it lift with struts?
I like the idea of the channel as opposed to snaps for temperature changes especially in the colder climates.
Nice quality cover & you got to be part of the prototype

The part of the frame that crosses the tailgate simply slides off. There is a label on there to remind you to remove it when the cover is off so that it's not lost. The snaps have a firm grip on the rails but I like how there's no need to line them up with individual buttons.

Does it roll up if you don't want to use it?
I like to take my doggy bye bye and she's not getting her lab hair all over my interior any more. Sorry Lilly dog!

The advantage Velcro has is it is sealed completely. Not just every few inches. The other advantage to a truxport is the rear self tensioning frame piece rolls up as well. No need to remove and store anything. The Truxport cannot be removed with the bed locked,

Good looking cover. Fortunately mine came with the Toyota trifold already on it... Tell me more about that truck mat you got from CT. Do you have to cut it, and if so, what size did you buy and how much?
    Good looking truck bud!!!!

The stall mat was $40 for a 4x6 sheet. I trimmed off a foot from the end and three inches off each side to fit the wheel wells. Pretty easy to cut with a drywall knife. Now all I need is weathertech or husky liners.

Decent solution for now I'm a soft cover fan myself. Truxedo is in process of making their low pro version for gen 3 as well. I've never had any issues with the Velcro ones on many work trucks to be honest.
