I know there is a way to do this with one of the relays in your fuse panel. Look through your owners manual find that relay and wire up your bar to that relay then plug back in and boom all good sorry I haven't done this yet so not sure if I'm being of much help

No worries could also run your wires to your head lights and run a wire tap into the headlight wires to the brights and that could work as well

Just wanted you to know there's risks in that. Especially with using your light bar for that. And you should always use a separate relay powered from the battery. And use whatever you can to wire in the activation circuit for your high beams as that takes very little power. Your high beam circuit might not be able to handle the extra power itself depending on what led bar you're using. Don't forget you need a separate fuse too. That way it doesn't cut out all your lights.

Yep. There should be four pins. One for ground. One for power to battery. One for power to light bar. And one from high beam wire to the activation pin on relay. Just look up 4pin relays on Google images to understand which pin is which. If you're truck (which I think 2nd gens have a separate high beam relay/switch) then it'll be easy. 1st gens are negatively switched so it's a little harder to do. Basically the activation AND ground pins are wired into the high beam AND low beam circuits and not directly grounded. It's grounded through the factory headlight wiring. Pretty sure you don't have that though. Should just be able to wire the activation pin straight to the high beam wire/relay/circuit.

If your light bar is wired to come on when your hi-beams are on then you are probably going to fail a safety inspection.

Im sure he would be able to rig it into an acceptable fashion. Such as a toggle switch inline so that it only does that when he flips the toggle "while offroading". And not every state has inspections. (One of the reasons i moved BACK to FL from NC.)
