What was their reply when you told them the same thing?

They just claimed they couldn't find a leak and told me to keep an eye on it for a day or two and bring it back if it's low again. Can't they have someone else just try to look at it?

My advice: Don't touch it. Do exactly as they say. If it gets low, don't fill it, just take it right back in. You want on their records the number of times this needs to be addressed. If there's a leak somewhere they'll find it. If you haven't done so yet go underneath, remove your skid plate and see if you can see anything. It could just be a really small drip spot you won't notice but it's got to be going somewhere. Likely can be fixed without an issue though, but good to make sure they have this on record.

Honestly I'd be more worried at this point about all the mixed fluids in there. The factory fill , then whatever you put in , and now whatever the dealer topped it off with could all be slightly different.

Its probably not accurate to claim a power steering leak until you know it's actually leaking. If you have added fluid in a greater quantity than the system can hold, then its a leak. Until then you must be sure you are not just topping the system off in case it was never filled correctly from the factory.

So the tldr on this thread is that your steering fluid was low and nobody from multiple parties (OP and Toyota) has found a leak yet.....

Let's pump those brakes on drawing conclusions.

People on the internet love to overreact to things, and for the most part only negative things get posted. Are the tens of thousands of us that own this truck with zero problems all supposed to post each time we drive it without a problem? That could be fun.

Dear OP, stick a big piece of white cardboard under the front end of the truck once you park it overnight (preferably in a garage). If you see drops of fluid on the cardboard then there's your answer on the leak.

There might be a chance the steering hydraulic system wasn't properly bled, meaning that air was in the system, and slowly the air rose to the top and was displaced by the PS fluid. Hence the drop in level. I could be wrong but just a hunch.

You do make a valid point, however if I have spent my hard earned money on a new truck then I want it fixed ASAP. I don't need to be taking it back and fourth to the dealership for them to tell me we can't find the problem. Toyota got all of its money....right? Then keep the truck until you get it fixed and give the customer a service truck until the issue can be resolved

Pull the tie rod boots back. Ive had them slowly leak until the boots get full enough then the leak shows.

OP check rubber boots on the end links maybe fluid is pooling in there. Check if its not leaking from the cooler right upfront (Toyota guy may have not checked this one)

There is nothing wrong with "mixed fluids". As long as it is all power steering fluid recommended for that vehicle there should be no issues.

Exactly. If Toyota or any other car maker stood behind their product then they would give you a temporary replacement car until they could figured out the problem with your car. If they could not resolve the issue then they should give you a new truck. Sounds fair to me. After all they got all of their money

They never found a problem, what's the point of keeping the vehicle?

WTF is wrong with you people? Dealer can't find anything wrong so just keep the vehicle forever? Just drive the goddamn truck and monitor the fluid level. If it continues to be a problem take it back.
