Yeah, I saw that video too. Neither one seemed like it would be that much an issue though. The price is pretty good.

It looks good closed, I'm just not sure I like the way you have to open it. Seems kinda jack leg to me. They guy looks like he has to really watch and snatche his hand out fast to keep from smashing it?

So if the 15 and 16 bed size is the same why can't you use a 15 cover?

The top at the front and the tailgate is now flush with the sides and it all sits further from the accessory rails.

The drilling holes in the truck to mount is a deal breaker for me.

Id like something close to oem tonneau but from what the dealership told me they dont make one for a long bed. When traveling with the family, luggage needs to be secured in the truck bed. Is theres such thing as weather/waterproof and secured ? Whats the price range thats within reason ?

I have the factory cover. Granted I have had the truck 4 days but I like it. I'm a total new guy to owning a truck.

No cover for the long bed? This saddens me, I like the design of the oem cover.

Mine is being built today. I asked for a cover to be added but I think it was too late for ordering and logistics to accommodate.
I told him it wasn't a deal breaker. I can get later.

Whoa. Thanks for the Fold-a-cover info. I'm all over that, getting one as soon as they are availabe for the '16. I originally was looking at the Extang Encore, because I wanted FRONT panel access and a toolbox. But Extang has never made the encore for the Tacoma. The Fold-a-cover is perfect for me. Can't wait.

This cover looks promising! I hope they are forward thinking enough to use the factory strike locations so swapping the factory cover is that much easier.

FYI - I email them about the availability of the Fold-a-cover. They said "by the end of the year, hopefully sooner". The guy also said that they are just waiting for a local dealer to get a Tacoma that they can borrow for the prototype they made. LOL, they can't find them on the lots either. :D

One huge flaw with the g4 that is a deal breaker for me. The g4 doesn't allow full access to the bed like the back flip. My truck will only have a 5 foot bed so I need all that I can use. Just my 2 cents

If you need full bed access just remove it, takes about 3 minutes, and you won't have the entire rear window blocked.
