WTF.....it's a good topic that over time as more people drive one, will make more and more sense. Besides, I made one visit to the dealer, xaminded it closely and have no intention of driving one in the near future. I will just wait and wait til one pulls up next to me, floor the MF'r and laugh at my RVM.

I did test drive one already, but hard to say since I couldn't really gun it or anything with the sales rep. Felt like it isn't that bad, I did go in with doubt of it being any bit close to the responsiveness etc that I am used to with my car. I was pretty impressed. My car isn't much higher in HP than the new truck, but power to weight ratio is higher, and low end torque of diesel.

I was pleased, but it could have a bit more. If it was more around 320-350hp or so would be much better.

I gunned it with the sales rep in the truck. He didn't give a rats ass! He told me to get on it, try it out with ECT and without ECT. Haha

Seriously? The sales guy I was working with suggested we go out on the highway to give it a good run and see how it handles.... weird. Sounds like your guy was a dick!

It sounds like your salesman has gonads to go with one.

If you are talking about an Audi 2.0T w/CVT, it is slow from a stop because it has an automatic clutch that is slow to engage. If you are already cruising >25 it is fully engaged and ready to rocket. If it engaged more like a manual clutch it would probably be quicker than the MT 0-60 (or any other range really.)

    I agree.
Seems if your prior mode of transportation was a Schwinn, the new Tacoma rocks.
However, if your past vehicle was a Corvette...not so much.
