In light of this, might have to do 35 on the front in Cali.

Mine is pretty close. I think I done 20. That said the factory tint doesn't have the reflective property that aftermarket tint does. Therefore the back and front may match but under certain light conditions the factory tint is way more transparent. I would consider a layer of 35 on the back to fix that
Edit: I also done a 20% top strip and the rest of the windshield in 50%. Still have great visibility at night but a noticeable difference during the day

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Honestly I should have done 35% too. My guy had both and held them both up for me to see, I just wanted an exact match. Although it has been a problem with inspections.

In NC you won't pass inspection and be able to get a new registration if you aren't below legal limit. I do plan on getting the thermal tint to reduce heat, but need to check legal % before I have it done.

Just something I thought I would throw out there through the research I did before tinting my 2014. I went with 50% in the rear and either 15 or 20% up front. I cant remember which. If you are doing tint just for privacy then you can ignore this post. However if you are doing tint for the other benefits, such as UV protection, heat rejection and glare reduction, you should cough up the extra money and tint the rear, even with a 50 or 60% tint. The factory dye on the vehicles provides privacy however it does not offer the UV protection or any of the other things mentioned that actual tint does. Without tinting the back you wont be getting the real benefits. Adding the windshield would be ideal but you can always throw a sun shade on there when its parked.

I put 15% on the front and 30% on the backs. Also took the air dam off.Looks darker due to the sun going down.

Installed my first dimple then removed it.
Denver auto tint on South Wadsworth Blvd. They have a living social coupon out right now for $40 for the two front windows, but living social gave me $6 off. Upgraded to the nicer film, which was supposed to be an extra $20, but they forgot to charge me for it.

Nice. I got my 2014 tinted from a groupon. Place did an awesome job. Now all three places on there won't honor their vouchers for a pickup truck...even tho they charge the same for a 4 door pickup as a 4 door car. Oh well. Found a place to tint with Johnson renegade for $150 for front and back windows along with the 3 piece slider
