ive had my Tacoma for a few months and it seems to idle high. should i be a 500 rpm in park with the engine warm?
also, here are some pics of a couple things i have done.

    slotted and drilled rotors
rifle storage. still a work in progress when time allows.

Nice looking toy you got their, are you getting ready for WW3? Any way my 4 cylinder 05 w/auto 94K miles on it, air off running at idle, runs about 650 rpm.

Is that when it's stone cold, or all the time?

All the time, when it's cold I idle over 1100. Putting it in drive or reverse seems harsh on the equipment.

My v6 seemed high at first. The CAI and exhaust brought it down a bit overall.

Same experience here. I suppose if I let it warm up long enough the rpms would drop down to about 700 ish but usually in too big of a hurry to wait.

Welcome! Nice rifle/mod seang. Had to look to find your magazine. When I first looked at your photographs I thought, "Why did he place the rifle behind the passenger side back seat? Seems like he'd need to reach over the driver's side back seat to get it". Then I realized you put it where you did to be able to reach it from inside the truck, while sitting in the driver's seat, not standing outside the truck on the driver's side. Also, who makes your scope?

Well I've got the Vortex Viper PST, on mine and we both know the price's of Vortex's, well the bushnell's is a 1to4 power I think you better keep looking at Vortex's. The Bushnell's are $199.

Their's no adjustment on this. This is require by the government for the manufacture to get the emissions on the truck to warm up as soon as possible. To help it along start it up and start driving.

Thank you. Now I understand even though shifting into gear would have to be tough on the auto tranny.

Will try to plan ahead better and allow more warm up going forward ( or backward).:D
