So this evening i went out to check the status of the ice in my cooler and noticed a little bit of a beer smell... well this is what i found, these are supposed to be all unopened beers.

So i guess moral of the story is no more bottled beer when off roading haha

Lol my jaw felt a little unhinged for a couple days but that's about it. a lesson learned in blood is not soon forgotten. Won't happen again!

Had a great time either way and plan to come out in February. Gonna need some help mounting my bumper and hopefully suspension.

Update on the alternator: I put the knew one in and the battery light was still on so the alternator from Advance Auto was actually good. Went to my dad's to test some stuff out with his multimeter and it turns out that the post in the fuse box for accessory power was being messed up by my light bar power. Positive wire from my light bar off of that and the alternator was working!

It already had a relay, had that running for over a year now. I guess when the OEM alternator went, it fried the positive wire for the Light Bar and that shot wire caused a voltage drop across the terminal

I really wish my handles were good. I've left mine in the back of the truck parked in the sun for a second day and it's still holding ice. My gallon of water is only 1/4 melted and I have 1/4 of my cooler still. Drained the water out to see how much was left. Impressive but handles are shit

I'm taking it back. I'll worry about one in late January for the annual meet. I need to get my sunglasses replaced. I'm still upset I lost them somewhere. Since we didn't need the canopy that's going back too. It wasn't needed at all

    Thanks, Guy.

Yup, that was the old "articulation" area. And you're right. Citrus is a whole different place than it was back in February. It's a lot more extreme and a lot more fun...at least until they decide to "repair" the trails again. o_O

I'm not too sure how common the pulling the wheels that far in the air is. I don't know if anyone saw the OGT go up it since I was the lead dog, but it didn't seem like I had any wheels off the ground, although I guess it's possible.

The Croom hill...haha, yeah, you're our last hope to get a Toyota up that hill. @allenfab , @xweslingx , and I were all denied. So was a Jeep that was out there with @Rattletrap66 earlier in the year. I think the only thing that has a shot at it would be a Tim Cameron-style bouncer...something with a big V8 that can accelerate quickly and produce a lot of tire speed.

Having said that, I was SO damn close. The ruts at the very top of the hill in Tim's pictures and the vid with Todd, those were mine, but I had to hit it at ridiculous speed (with an already injured truck) to get that far.

It happens with cans too. If you can keep things packed in tightly enough--especially if you can keep the bottles standing upright--you'll be okay. Otherwise, bouncing around on the trails pretty much guarantees you're going to have something rupture or leak. Also, if you're worried about it, you can always bring a smaller cooler for the beer you can leave back at camp (or take the smaller cooler filled with whatever you plan on drinking on the trail and leave the big cooler at camp).

It would have been nice to have if it had rained. Just 'cause you didn't need it this time, doesn't mean you won't need it sooner or later.

I think your weight really hurt you on that one. That said, The OGT is a lot heavier than Todd's machine, so I think the only reason I got slightly further than him was either because I was the first to attack it, or I can credit the Swampers which I've been saying up until now hate sand.

I'd also like to add: That water hole at Croom saved me a crap-ton of work cleaning the bottom of the OGT. Thanks to @Sholden223 for pointing out that it cleaned his wheels to make me think of parking in it for a while. Otherwise, I would have gave it a pass and been laying on the ground a lot longer and getting much dirtier while spraying the mud out of the OGT's undercarriage.

Yeah it worked like a charm for cleaning my wheels, i didn't want to be driving back with my wheels all out of balance and get some mean wobbling going on.
