Who has done aftermarket dash and cluster lights?

only the 01-02 base model trucks had them.

wouldn't hurt to through them guys a bid for $35 and see what they say, never hurts to ask?

 

That's true and the problem I have with this though, is it really the part we are talking about?

 

im using these same 4runner control in my 04 right now, the only difference is the LED button colors and that's why the part numbers changed

just remember, when you get the LEDs for it you need the kind with LEDs on the sides and front so it lights up the buttons with the same amount of light as the faceplate, otherwise the buttons and knobs wont get much light and they will be hard to see.

that wont light up the buttons or knobs much at all, it needs a directed light facing to the side, not just a wide angle light.

no, that's a #74 not a neo wedge, you need the neo wedge t4 bulb.

I'd have to disagree. I am running the neox 4mm's and my AC lights look great with the proper panel.



The 4runner faceplate mate all the difference since this is what it looked like before:

 

well where are your button lights??????????????? not visible, and that is because you don't have the side facing LEDs on your bulbs to illuminate them. THATS why you need them. bet you probably never even noticed or cared they weren't lit but they should be

 

Wait what button lights? The buttons light up stock orange when on. Got a pic to show me what you mean?

That looks good, can't wait to see what mine will look like green btw I just ordered the faceplate. Seller wanted $40 so I accepted and I took $10 off since I used paypal winning right now.

 

those are the super bright whites, if you go green I think the blue part may not light up much at all but the rest will. for some reason only white seams to light up the blue part.

great news you got a better deal, just remember if you just use that other control it has green LEDs for the buttons so it will match your green color scheme perfectly. its the exact same control, so no worries about it not being the right part to work in your truck. the part numbers are only different because it has green LED buttons instead or orange so all you have to do ids plug it into your dash.

I personally HATE the orange LEDs on our buttons so even if I wasn't doing a light mod, I would have changed the control just to get the more "normal" looking green LED buttons

 

Will do it's just screws and some connectors that need to be taken off and put back in.
