Does anybody make a Ram Air kit for the 3.4L Tacoma engine. If you know who, where to buy one, and/or cost, please let me know.

    Thanks

i think volant cold air intakes make a ram air extension for there intake kits. I know they do for the 05 and up's but not sure on your year.

Hmmm. I've seen a 01-04 Tacoma around here with a hood scoop and a blower. I've never been able to talk to the driver, I've only passed it on the road and took note of the scoop and blower. Any idea if that's just for looks or if somebody actually makes a Ram Air/Blower mod for the 3.4L?

Silver? The one i've seen is a white double cab. Well now we have 2 people looking for 2 other Tacomas so our chances of finding out what they got has doubled. Keep an eye out for both of them and let me know if you get to the bottom of this. I will do the same.

i dont recall the name but there was a company that made a fiberglass (iirc) hood for the 01-04 tacomas with a scoop on it

there have been many discussions as to the ability to make a scoop on a tacoma "work" but the general consensus from the 05+ is that its not able to be made functional because the area a hood scoop sits on the tacoma is a low pressure area as far as air flow goes and would end up providing you with less air than youre currently getting

these discussions are usually in relation to 2nd gens but the shape of the trucks is generally the same and would most likely apply to the 1st gens as well

The guy i've seen not only has a scoop but a blower inide the scoop. You have a good point with the low pressure area.
