I don't get it. Why not just buy a Dodge diesel at this point? And either keep the Tacoma or sell it.

It would be cool... Would take a lot of work to do that but it would be unique

I fully embrace the "to each their own" philosophy and have nothing against Rat. But it just seems like it will be one of those Excaliber kit cars... a Tacoma shell sitting on top of Dodge/Dana chassis/drivetrain.

    Holy crap, so much hate!

If dude was trying to put a taco body on a 4runner chassis/engine or on a highlander chassis/engine or on a tundra chassis/engine everyone and their cousin on TW would be jerkin each other off at the idea.

Just be excited for the cool build pics that are sure to come!

I just don't get why a full-size frame sandwiched under a compact body.

I hope you're as good as a welder as you think you are because chopping an entire frame down and burning it back together to fit underneath a Tacoma introduces a lot of failure points

I don't care what he does to his truck, just curious to see if it's better "engineered" than his banana shaped skid plates....

I bought a dodge diesel. I'm also keeping the Tacoma. So I don't get it.

Are you going to put the Tacoma frame under the dodge?

    Lookin for a 1st Gen 4x4 thread.
My front differential is popping and I am trying to do as much research on it before I swap it out with another one.
    Thanks

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'd search around for information on the ADD system. I think your stub shaft may not be fully engaging.

Also, welcome to TW :) usually this thread is a good place to ask things but everyone has gone full metal retard over RAT's taco at the moment.
