Anyone know where you would look to find a relocation kit for the oil filter on a 2016 Tacoma..?

Blah ha ha! I've heard some people are already designing "trap door" skid plates.

I assume you have to take the skid plate off to drain the oil..? They had the perfect setup for 2nd Gen. I don't know why they couldn't have come up with a better location on the 2016s...

People that complain about removing skid plates must not work on vehicles with skid plates very much. If the few bolts to remove the plates are that hard for you, maybe you should just leave the skids off...

Edit: or better yet, dont work on your truck. Take it to the dealer.

Our Honda Civic has a plate on the bottom of the engine that you must remove to change the oil. It's held on with 4 big #3 phillips heads. Is it a skid plate?

Had to do the same for my 4Runner. It's not bad, just a few screws.

it has to be that big? Does the oil come with it or something? No oil filter can be that large. It must cost over 100 dollars

That's how the power steering fluid naturally comes out, not the oil

Don't get me wrong, I love working on my truck, I just don't like it when you take off an oil filter and the oil runs all over wiring and lines that are in the way because of its location..

the oil filter is at the very bottom of the engine. The only thing below is your oil pan

And if that still isn't acceptable, use the drain plug and train tool provided with the new filter. Unless the drain plug is too much of an inconvenience.
