    Why has the SR5 trim naming continued into the 3rd gen when all transmissions are 6 speed now?

    For the 2nd gen, at least the v6 automatic and the 4 cylinders were 5 speeds..

    Just a tradition right?

    It's a trim level moniker just like anything else.

    Pro tip: TRD trims aren't race trucks, either. Disappoint.
