    What else is there?

Since the dawn of netscape it's pretty much been king in my uneducated opinion.

I misread your post when I replied earlier. Clicking the title will take you to the first unread, if it's bold (indicating that you have unread posts). Clicking the blank space will take you to the very last page, regardless if you have unread posts or not.

FWIW...it actually takes you to the very last post, not just the last page...at least Mac with Chrome

I have found this to be true... some of the time. I seem to remember a week or so ago that you posted in this thread explaining that you'd changed it so that the link would send you to first unread and the blank space would send you to the last post.

Yet, this isn't always the case. When I click the link, it will send me to the first unread post a reasonable percentage of the time, but sometimes it sends me to the first post. I'd say it's about a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio? For example, I clicked home improvement in my watched threads 1 minute ago and it took me to post #1. No idea why...

How many tabs do you keep open out of curiosity? If you have new unread threads and, for instance, open them in other tabs, the original tabs may still show them as unread and confusingly send you the first post (because they are no longer unread). Let me know please.

I didn't have other TW tabs open a few minutes ago, but I've just opened a couple threads that I had bookmarked. I'll experiment and see if it makes any difference, but seeing as I was having this problem with just the one tab, I doubt there will be any fruit for this labour. Will keep ya posted..

Everything still works the same for me - click on bolded title to go to first unread post, click on the blank area to go to the very last post.

I have noticed in a few cases that I will click on the bolded title to a thread in my watched list, I know I've visited the threads recently, and yet I get directed to the very first post of the thread as if I'd never visited it before. :notsure:

I have bolded and underlined a key part of the issue. Clicking the bold thread title in any active thread on the main page, watched threads, or anywhere else works as it should and takes you to the first unread. Now say a thread that hasn't seen any activity for say 6 months gets a new post, it will show up bold, but when you click on it it doesn't take you to the first unread (even if you have read it before), and the 'Go to first unread' button will appear next to the pages numbers after you've clicked into the thread. Click that and it will take you to your first unread...

It has happened for as long as I can remember, but never thought to bring it up.

...or maybe its threads that haven't had a new post since we switched to the new site? or some update on the new site reset the cookies or whatever tracks what we've read and not read? :notsure:

    Or maybe that. :notsure:

And I wouldn't really call it a problem, just an observation. It's up to to Sir Bob if anything happens with it...

Same here - just stating my observations in case it was a sign of a larger problem. I just found it to be a weird annoyance.... carry on.... :pccoffee:

I'm not sure what the determining factor is for it. It isn't threads without an update since new site, it isn't 6 months, it seems to happen more often with certain threads than others and i don't know why that would be...

Really? See it could be that, but I was also considering the possibility that Canadian started threads, or just threads with a high proclivity for Canadians posting in them could be the cause.:1up:

@tcBob you have spoiled me....every other webpage I visit I find myself searching around for that damn little button that scrolls me back to the top of the page! :annoyed: Why doesn't every page have this!!!
