    Privatization is a slippery slope, I'm not impressed with the privatization of on base military housing in the US. Quality of the housing and treatment of military members declined dramatically IMHO. :notsure:

    I don't know,you think I'm scary enough?. Yes their downtown is going through some positive revitalization,but this place has good 'bones' to work with I think. Many of the newer hi rises in town a very well done, and while there are some ugly 10 story sights, they are over shadowed by beautiful pieces from from the 20s or earlier. They have an efficient above ground transit system, bikes you can rent and drop off for the day or longer, and minimal congestion on their roads. Downtown to the airport took less than 30 minutes, regardless of time of day. One of the freeways dumps right into downtown with the first off ramp directly into a parkade.
    Now that's genius. It is easy to get around. So far th 'burbs are boring though.

    Do you read Cliff Mass at all? He's predicting a colder/wetter winter than others this year. He's the lead meteorologist in the PNW, he's written a few papers on the blob and el nino. He's a lead professor at UW.
