Love the design, I love it's simplicity.
What type of camera did you use?

For dust, probably yes. For rain and spray behind the cab the difference is marginal.

Sure...if you want to drive half the year in a blackout sandstorm then use the truck as a submarine for the other half. I can't imagine how a long term immersion rating is useful.

Hi Shepdog, these lights are IP56 rated. I realize in one post I mistyped and wrote IP65, but my original description is correct. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I agree that IP68 rated lights would be superior, but these lights have performed very well for me in a number of storms and are still going strong. Thank you for the feedback. I will keep that in consideration for the final product.

Currently the bracket is bare but the goal is to offer options for bare, powder coat, or an anodized finish.

Would like one as well... black powder coated, also with an option to use other lights. Just an idea but maybe that last piece of metal bracket where the spot light is bolted, have another piece to replace that, which allow others to mount different lights. So if you buy the kit with lights included, you get that mount as pictured. If its just the Bracket with No Lights then you get a blank bracket where you can drill the right size hole for your light kit. Thanks!

Another idea, what about one like this but instead of round lights, mounting for a rectangle 4" or 6" light bar, either above or below?

yes, I have done the mods
This is excellent. I love the idea and want them. I'm gonna search around for a waterproof switch to mount in the bed, probably driver's side.

Good luck with development, OP, looking forward to availability!

+1 Agreed. I only run through touchless automated washes when I cant do it myself. I believe that over time (long time?) those spinnny rubber whirling things will break down any clear coat or wax and beat the fark out of the already suspect paint jobs we have. Just my $0.02

correct. microscratches wearing clearcoat down and truck looks MINT after the wash, but slowly like ass in a few years

plus there will be that time someone extra grubby went in before you, and now all that 'technology' is rubbing his dirt, on your paint

vs touchless which look 99% mint after a wash, when it dries there is a tiny bit of dirt film, but when
you handwash it once in a while afterward, is shines like new again.

This is a great idea and something I have been throwing around in the back of my head for a while, it is nice to see there would be some interest for this type of option. This is definitely something I want to offer. I am not sure yet if this option will be available with the first "release" but it is definitely at the top of my list to have as an option. I will be sure keep everyone up to date on the available options as I wrap up development.

That is a good idea. Early on I had a prototype that put the lights a little above the roof line of the cab and I personally didn't like how it looked, but that is not to say that it wouldn't look better with a light bar. If there is enough interest in this type of light bar bracket I am confident that I can develop a slick solution for it. I will add this to the list of ideas and improvements. Thanks!
