Dream cars for me growing up were the Corvette you posted, the Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari F40 and the Weineck Cobra. As I got older the lineups from Pagani, Koenigsegg and a few others got added to the list. The Hummer H1 has always been on my list, I've loved that truck from the first time I saw one, still want one something fierce.

 

when i was little i wanted a 1970 camaro. still kinda do
now i still get weak in the knees for a lotus esprit

 

I want one of the duramax H1's

The most prominent growing up were these two, and I'd still kill to have one.
1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk w/the Supercharger.

1968 Dodge Charger W/a 426 Hemi, dual quads, and a 4speed.

I'd paint it either a deep blue or a forest green. Metal flake.

God, to many.

For old cars I would say 1970 Hemi Cuda. As corny as it is i've also always kind liked the Bandit Trans Am. The best might be an AC Cobra. Even though I would probably not be able to fit behind the wheel, they didn't make those for people over 6' tall.

 

Why am I not surprised that you'd want a purple car...

My uncle had an 82 then later an 86 both in maroon, my infatuation all started with his truck. Been my favorite vehicle ever since I can remember. Next to that pretty much anything pre 60's, I just loved the lines of the old cars and trucks.

Definitely some cool cars. Noel that Studebaker took me by surprise. I don't know of too many kids that wanted one of those.

Lol. There's something to be said for a practical daily driver. Toyota's are reliable, efficient and their 4wd systems are super capable.
But, speaking of big American trucks, I have two of them, too.
